Can i take clippings from a female after shes been picked?

A buddy of mine has 1 girl, but shes in the middle of flowering.

Ive heard that it is possible to harvest a plant, then force it back to veg.

What i need to know is if it is possible to take clippings off a female after shes been picked and forced back into veg.

Yes, it can be done. The clone has to root and then there is a 2-3 week period where the plant is confused and has to figure out which part of the cycle it is supposed to be in. An experienced grower can hit & miss with this aproach. Patience is the key as it can take quite a while for the plant to sort itself out. That is why it is recommended to take clones before flowering. Good luck with that. I have taken clones from plants 2 weeks into flowering but not beyond that. I was just trying to see if it could be done.

i take cutting from my plants 6 weeks in flower and they turn out great.

Hmm, so could i just go ahead and try to take some cuttings?

Like would it hurt the plant and stun it if i take some?

sry to jump in but.... even if the lower cliping have buds growin on it. what will happen to the buds...will they die or just stay there.

The buds will provide food for the plant while she tries to root.Once that little girl roots and she is established pluck that bud.........You will be very happy!

what wrong. there is no food in the buds. you do not want food for cloneing thats why the best timeto cut is 2 weeks in flower. you do not want nitregon stores in the clone. the reson for this is the clone will consintrate on growing not rooting.

I ran across a thread on another forum. A guy takes cuttings and refriderates them in a plastic bag and they last up to 75 days and can be taken out and rooted.no need for a veg room that way if u take cuttings before going into flower then save them until ready to start another round.great for a perpetual growing with space constraints.

just take a clipping and pick all the buds off and be verrrrry careful to leave some of the top fan leaves..then clone it as normal...its gonna take a bit longer

i leave the buds on mine. then after they have goten all there single leaves that they are going to get then i take of the remander on the bud thats left. the reason why i do this is at every bud well become a branch not all of them but a good 80% of the bud well.

im very happy i found this thread being as ive grown 4 pants to around 10 inches in veg and they are flowering now but the problem was i didnt think i coud cut off clones in flowering so im getting my root clone powder out lol.............any tips on exactly wheres best to get a clone off the plant? can it be elsewhere rather than the top where a nice bud is forming?heres a pic of one of my plants in flowering,,,:hump:

from what i see the only place 2 clone urs is the top..unless u have some lower limbs that cant b seen
