Can I switch from cfl's to hps?

I have my clones under some cfl's, and was planning on vegging them for a couple weeks under the cfl's and then put them under my 600 watt hps. Will it hurt them to go through such a drastic light change?

Thank you guy's. I was reading some journals, doing some research and someone said when they made the switch their ladies died. He was already in 12/12 for a few weeks so maybe that had something to do with it, or maybe he just f'ed up.

Shit when you go to flower alot of people place them under hids from just cfls or floros u should be fine.

my plants actually got happier when i replaced cfl's with HID....

mine did to when i change ones in veg to hps they took off and i had some in flower under a about 400 watts of cfls and when i got another 400 w hps they took off bud city
cfls do a good job though but i see the change and i use cfls as backup
