Remember 40 watts of energy will only ever equal 40 watts not 400!
Yea i dont know what to make of it, or weather light metres can be trusted but it maxed it out, i will grow only under these lights and make adjustments as needed

With good not so expensive lamps out there on the market ya should consider an upgrade.

Growing under minimal light can be done. Just get closer. Works fine in veg but you definitely won't get all the plant has to offer.
Thank you, I have already started the growing process. Hoping it will turn out good

Personally id say go for it, give a crack, let us know how you go, its always interesting to see what people can achieve using as little as possible, its always great to have the best equipment for best results but mistakes can be made even with the best equipment, test yourself!
Thank you, already germinated the seed, will put in its medium today with the blurple lights. But I have no tents so will be growing it in a closet. How is it with smell management when there is no carbon filter. Does photoperiod smell a lot in veg state? My wife won't allow me to grow if it smells a lot. So I was wondering if I should invest in an another tent, I hope I don't have to though. My autos don't smell anything crazy in veg state so hope it's the same with photos

Its the same for both, veg stage is no smell only during flower once the trichomes begin to develop, i like photos because they dont have a time limit as such , they are more forgiving, plus you can take clones, no point in taking clones of an auto they will have the same lifespan as the mum, i hope it all goes well for ya

My growing tent is full, and my strongest light is located in that tent. The plant inside the tent are all autos. I really wanna try a photoperiod. Never grew those before. So I picked up some blue zushi, and was wondering if I can grow it under a cheap plurble light, it says its 100watts, but there is no way its that strong, more like 70watts. Can I keep the photoperiod under those light until my autos are finished and just keeping it in veg for 2months, or is that to long?
`sure ,but it will be big with2 months veg, under a weak light , will try to double in size most likely!

I know the height might be an issue. That's why I am gonna stall it as much as I can. By changing mediums, topping and LST. So hopefully that will keep it at a good height level

Thats not a PAR meter or a light meter, its an app I don't like or trust, especially with androids that are often inaccurate and often max out.

Ahh ok, Be interesting to put it beside an actual light metre, and see the difference, but they are too pricy for me from what i just looked up.

You can get the UNI-T lux meter for about $20. I use the $35 bluetooth version that pairs with the free PPFD Meter app, a nice setup.
Several have compared it to good PAR meters. There's good info in this thread and you can find many posts by searching Rollitup for uni-t.

BTW, screw in LED's work well, but not as efficient as good grow lights.
