can i seperate and keep this lovley hermie for butter and hash?

i have about 3 weeks left on a sour diesel that turned hermie recently from a light leak. most people are telling me to chop it, the trichs are beautifull and resinous as fuck, what if i just seperate it and keep it for making butter and hash? seeds and all? any feedback?

I def wouldn't just throw it away if it only has 3 weeks left. Might chop it but would use it to make hash oil or butter like you said.
