CAN I RUN TWO 2x4 FLOOD TABLE UNDER ONE RES

Those look really healthy nice job.. I think ima go the same way u r it looks pretty noob friendly but looks can be decieving :) I just need to do some homework on ppms and ec stuff gets kinda confusing..
 
I feel like you could use one big pump ( Little Giant ) and use a T connect to flood both tables. Just make sure to use good clamps on the connections to prevent a blow out. Obviously you would want a big reservoir (50 gal+)
 
Thanks for the input grizzlybudz, I think I'm just gonna go with a 2x4 for my veg room and a 3x3 in the flower and use little pots filled with hydroton, I figure it'll be easier to move plants from room to room since that was one of my big worrys..

Yea save yourself some money. a small pump would be just fine. Test it out to make sure it works.
 
you can definitely make this happen. just gotta make sure you have enough food for the ladies. 20G is enough (maybe the minimum) to feed 20 girls as long as you pay attention and top off on a daily basis. A friend runs this system for two 2x4 trays. and the results are jim dandys!
 
Thanks beardogg, yea I only wanna run like 8 girls at a time so I was thinking like a 15gl or do u think a 20gl would be better???
 
depends on how many tables you have. each 2x4 is about 17G to the top, so 8 G is halfway including Rockwool cubes. So IMO your res should hold between 5G minimum and 10G max per tray, depending on how many times you want to top it off.
 
You want to have enough water to flood the table and not surface the pump. The pump needs to be fully submerged when on.
If your going to fill the table/tray with hydroton, you won't need as much water....it displaces alot of space/volume.

Instead of purchasing a flood table, check out concrete mixing tubs at home depot. They're about $13 for a 24x36x8. Dish washing tubs work great as well.
 
just forewarning you 420 if you run the min size res your pumps will run dry which will effect the life expectancy of your pump when i set up my tables i started with 18 gallon res's and my pumps ran dry after one watering now i have 25 gal res's and even then i have to add some sauce at least once a week to keep the pumps submerged i also run my trays at a high water level because the pots i use are 7" deep so when i first put clones in there the roots arent to the bottom of the pot quite yet.
 
you can put the two 2x4's side by side to make it a 4x4.

You can use one res.

You can use a single pump, just get a 'T' splitter on the hose.
