Wassup riu I'm curently growing in soil but the world of hydro got my attention, so anyways I was wondering if I can run two 2x4 flood tables under one rez and one pump or do I need two??? Also how many plants would I be able to fit in both??? I'm thinking of using 4x4 rockwool cubes or 6x6 also another one of my questions, which do u think is better.. I'm using a 1000w hps in case u guys are wondering.. Any help would be much appreciated thanks:bigjoint:

The reason for that is that my flower room door isn't big enough for it to fit thru when I move them from the veg room lol..

if you have two trays you will need a pump for each one. i like using smart pots but rock wool cubes work well, i would get the big ones though.

you definitely can just make sure when they all go in at the same age for you will have only one nute mix for both trays. you will need 2 pumps both in the res with separate timers with staggered watering schedules unless you get a big enough res to fill both at the same time.

Drgreentm, since I'm new to hydro would it be better I just get two small rez's and just have them both on the same feeding schedule???

i use a 25 gal res on each of my 2 tables(2x4 as well) but going to do just what i explained when i get another two for a total of 4 trays each 2 will be sharing a res with staggered schedule's. this is easier for me it cuts down on the amount of water when i have to do res changes. but ether way will work just fine good choice in setup for first time too flood and drain is very easy to manage.

yeah you can do that ... but you will need two pumps and plants well have to be close to the same age so the will like the same food..................

Nice looking set up and laddies as well. What size pots do u use?? I was thinking of just using the rockwool cubes and filling the tray with hydroton, do u think pots are a better choice???

personally i like the pots when i put the rocks in the tray it was a mess getting all those little rocks out of the cracks of the tray to clean. the pots are very easy to clean for me they are 6x6x7 hydrofarm flood pots but i can say the rocks in the tray worked just fine when i did that as well so its really up to you and your preference.

I got some 1/2 gl square pots u think that'll do the job.. I also heard about using coco mats for the roots do u have any experience with them???

mine look like a net pot on the bottom but i have seen them with just circle holes on the bottom as long as they have good water draining capabilities then they should work fine. i dont have any experience with coco mats sorry man always just used hydro rock for medium.

1. Are u using rockwools cubes in ure pots and wat size??
2. Do u grow all the way in one pot or do u transplant??

i take clones in rapid rooters and when they root well i put them in 3x3x3 rockwools and just put them in my ebb tray in veg i leave the wrappings on them and put covers on the tops to prevent that nasty green algae the moist wools mixed with light create.then when they get a good amount of roots out the bottoms i put in the pots which remain there homes till harvest. i could cut out the wools altogether and just go from the rapid rooter to the pot but i just like doing it this way here is a few pics to better show you.
