Can i reveg a plant with no buds?

Hi fellow enthusiasts! This is my first attempt ever at growing.
My friend gave me a harvested Indica, and it's been chopped in half and had most of its branches chopped off, and zero buds remain. Is it possible for it to grow new leaves? I really want to keep it for its genetics, since decent seeds are hard to find in my country

I have seen it happen.
I have harvested and left the stalks in the soil just sitting in the corner and once in a while right out of
stem growth has appeared.

Not sure how to make it happen consistently but maybe someone here does

if there are any leaves on it, probably. if there are no leaves, probably not. it's possible it might sprout a few new leaves, but if it doesn't, give it up. if you can get it to, use it to take clones from. i've let revegged plants flower again, and its a waste of time, they never produce much, but they are a good source of clones

just put it at the edge of your tent, and leave it alone. keep it just moist, and ignore it. it'll either start producing new leaves soon, or it'll dry up and die. wait and see.

It's currently not in a tent, just in the corner of my room with some reflective material around it and a fan blowing 24/7. I'm in the process of building an enclosure for it

i've never done anything special for them, just set them where they get a little light, and don't let them dry out completely. they'll do what they're going to do on their own, otherwise

These are last seasons.
I had surgery so couldn't do much but keep my plants alive.

I revegged my indoor and put it outside.

These are way smaller than they would have been because of that, but I still got my smoke and keep my genetics going with minimal work.

If you plan to grow them out you have to do some training because they are a mess when they start out.

Damn those are some beautiful plants! I live right next to a prison guard so I'm just keeping it indoors for now I've got it under a 40w bulb temporarily until I get a 300w led, I've got some veg nutrients formulated for tomatoes since apparently that's the way to go and I water when the medium is dry up to my first knuckle, so far that's all I have as far as prep goes

Lol, those plants are embarrassing for outdoor, but they are ok for the circumstances I had.

You wont need to bombard this with direct light, in fact, as stated above I would kick it off to the side of the light and ignore in until it was almost bone dry. Then lightly moisten it.

Repeat until you see some new growth.

Then come back and talk some more.

Plant looks really sad. The guy couldve left you a lot more leaves to work with. Plus the soil she's in is now baron and needs to be supplemented throughout the plants life. Only do this if you are really trying to save this plant. It's going to take a whiiiiilllleeeee

I'd start with adding a fair amount of nitrogen and potassium, some calmag or Epsom salt. I'd go higher with the N and K than the other. I don't have measurements lol all you can do is hope

give it LOW light levels, like for unrooted clones. use 24/0 for around a week, then drop ~15 min of light a day, or whatever you want really. you're trying to trick it into coming back from the grave and revegging it. it's a lot to ask, but not impossible. give it a light feeding of veg nutes when the media is dry enough to do so. i've seen better luck having it work when you repot it and prune the roots to match it's top. meaning if 3/4th the plant was taken above the soil, take around the same amount of roots away. kind of like some do to mothers when repotting in the same size container, just burying it more. it sounds weird, but it's like when they split bushes. it's worth a try. good luck.

Good luck, usually new growth from a reveg is first to come from a bud, but as long as you have a node and a leaf with some health i'd say there's 'some' chance.
