If he had mostly turning cloudy/cloudy trichs with some clear then the maximum level of THC has been reached. The only reason to wait longer would be to let some portion of the trichomes turn slightly amber so you can get more couch-lock but catch things before you get mostly to all amber and you have then lost THC.

Basically his window of opportunity just opened so now he has to decide the right moment for him.

I hate anything to do with quick drying and Rube Goldberg curing but IF someone has say a sample they want to test or just has such a small amount that they know it wouldn’t last them as long as it would take to dry it properly and cure it properly and figure what they heck, they’re cough a bit more but darn it they’re doing to smoke it fast … then about the best way to do is it what I would call as fast of a slow dry as possible or actually maybe as slow of a fast dry might be the more accurate .. but wither way don’t think heat and don’t think ultra-dry, both will cost you THC.

If you can find a way to keep constant air movement of a decent airflow over and around your bud unless you have very high humidity small buds will be ready in an hour or so and bigger ones you sort of have to play it by ear and later if unsure cut one in to and check.

Here is the idea in the simplest form. Someone testing one bud. Clip or somehow attach the bud to something so it sticks up about 6 inches away from a blow-dryer and turn the fan on but no heat. If you have a two stage fan high speed will work quicker but you don’t want something flopping around in the breeze having trichome-heads knocked off either so you have to have the bud held firm.

On a larger scale, is someone had enough buds that could be placed in an area say the size of a standard oscillating fan you rig a way so it can point down and you lay your buds on the back, which would then be up, or the top, and the air would be drawn through them. If some buds are to small so they might fall through usually a small piece of screen of some sort, even some kitchen utensil, will work at times and the smaller buds are placed on or in whatever it is that allows air to be drawn through but will hold the small buds and then that of course is set on the back of the fan too.

It is dehydrating them without heat or ultra-dry air .. just an increased movement of normal humidity room temperature (slightly warmer with the blow-dryer … just the fan heats it slightly) around and over and through your buds drawing the moisture out at a greatly increased rate but not in a we have to be able to smoke this in 15 minutes time rate.

But if you just waited all these weeks how tough is it really to get it ready for later that night or for when you get home from work or for after you put the kids to bed that night or even the following night if it means you maintained what THC you had.

Sure it will still taste like lawn clippings with a hamster turd thrown in for spice but at least you will not have that same icky taste plus less THC.
