So I have my 1000 watt MH going..
Seeds germinating as I type(bodhi Granola Funk and bodhi Cobra Lips)...
My question is.....
Can I Veg with T5's and my 1000 watt MH? Should I?
Or should I use these CFL's from Walmart with the 1000 watt?
Or should I use JUST the 1000 watt MH by itself?

Seedling and early veg T5. You might run into problems if you attempt too much light straight-out, not to mention heat issues and the extra power (costs) needed to run the mh and lower temps will negate any benefit gained from the use of 1000w mh. If your intention is for a faster veg time, you will only get that when the plant is happy and conditions are optimal. Mh is ok when your plant is actively growing, but whilst your plant is setting roots, you will gain (speed and rootball mass) by using a light with a little more red in the spectrum. T5 might not look sufficient, but if you have enough of it to fill your space your plants will stack nodes happily and just as quickly as hps or mh.

Yeah start them out on a lower watt light. If your ballasts is an adjustable wattage unit you can swap out to a 400w bulb for veg, would be best imo 600w is a little over kill for early veg. Or you can use the t5s but be sure to use enough if them and keep them close to the plants or you will have some stretch. I use a ufo led and 24" t5s for early veg, clones and seeds.
