Can i harvest these a week early??? Please Help!

Im in my last few weeks (60%+ red hairs) of my OG Kush which decided to go hermie on me. I cant risk pollinating my other strains. Can i harvest a week early??... what are the pros and cons?? Thanks in advance

Con, possible loss of potency.. shouldn't be too bad. Pro, you don't have seeded bud Con, you may not have time to flush, pre-chop. Pro, there are other ways of flushing, including cutting the plant at the base, taking the plant to a separate room or closest, and propping or supporting it upwards while the stalk rests in a vase or bucket of distilled water. The plant can even continue to form new growth in this fashion, but when trying to flush it MUST be distilled or pure RO water because the root system is no longer in tact to give the plant a bit more control, over what goes in and what doesn't, filtering out some of the salt and debris.. it functions via the capillary action of the stalk material, drawing moisture upwards. You'll notice you have to replace some missing water each day, sometimes several times per day if the plant was particularly healthy, vigorous and well-fed before the cut. Another option is a water-cure, once you've harvested the buds you allow them to dry, then submerge them in distilled water, changing it out with fresh water every day for up to a week. The flavor is somewhat diminished (why I prefer dry flushing with the stalk intact), but the potency stays, and the nutrient and other salts are gone.

So by looking at those buds... they can be harvested?

look.of course you can.....i mean your not incapable of doing so....but facts are wait another week or 2 an yeah they will still get you high and yeah high as fuck.but theirs always that regret after you cutt her down if she could of got bigger if it could of got u higher if u could of dried her up for longer cured her for longer etc.smoke what ever you want if you want that rush bad enough.but other than that you should flush it for two days then dry it for two more weeks then cure it for another 2 weeks.if you cant....goodluck with the preharvest

You can but I wouldn't I more of a quality man and harvesting early can reduce potency, but then again not my bud its yours and your choice only although keeping it a while longer will make the bud that much nicer.

Yeah, with those bananas out there, that's trouble brewing fast. If you're interested in the quality of your smoke, and don't want to be digging through a bunch of useless immature seeds, just to find a bowl pack, then it's probably best you get that thing out of there. Those bananas don't take long to dry out and start dispersing pollen, they're a step further and beyond balls on the warning meter. It looks like it shouldn't hurt the potency much at this stage. Some people actually like harvesting that early.. who knows, you could discover you like the head-rush buzz it gives you

Exactly what I was getting at...If you got nanners...and they are opening....I would say you're fkt...harvest now...trim now...and remove as much of the nanners as you can during trim...I bet if your calyxs are 60% red and withered then your trichs are going to mostly cloudy turning amber....sounds like a good buzz to me......although I'm liking badkittys idea with cutting above the rootball and throwing it in a vase or bucket to leach.....It takes a bit for a seed to start to develop after being pollinated....IDK...good luck!!!
