can i harvest different parts of same plant but at different times?

can i harvest a part of a plant now and come back to same plant and harvest the rest later? and will there be a difference in smoke?

the part of the plant you harvest later will be more mature than the first.

you can definately do that. Alot of people cut the big top colas to let the lower ones develop more, there shouldnt be any negative effect... the ones on there longer will be riper and thats propbably it... unless the stress of cutting it that much makes it hermie, but I wanna say the nanners would take a week to form or more. IDK tho
