can I grow with a sea sponge?

I was thinking a sea sponge will stay moist pretty well and be easy for the roots to grow into, also instead of pump I'm going to try a water ionizer it splashes the water and makes a mist it also has neat colour changing LED's because I swapped it from my aromatherapy lamp :) has any one tried either of these idea's?

Well, I screwed up.
I though I had heard it all, . . . I guess not.

In response, sure, give it a try - heck, grass will grow out of a concrete sidewalk so Cannabis should be fine with aromatherapy lighting and a sponge.

you can grow in any thing you want a bunch of paper towels or a old t shirt . it does not matter as long as its kept wet and cool . because the sponge will attract ever mold spore in the room its asking for a disaster if you can keep it under 60f . and with the proper nutrients . it would be worse then growing hydro . I might actually put this into a challenge on here growing in a old car wash sponge . if your a pro grower go for it .

Lol not so fast haha I was thinking of just getting some Rockwoll but sense everyone is intrigued i guess what the heck why not lol I'm going to use legit sea sponge though from the sea they sell them in the paint section at allot of stores, still in process of building my little set up so maybe in a day or so it will be fin and I will update on it and Show will go on, Love the sponge Bob pic hahaha

i may stick a clone in a pot of sea sponges and toss it in my flood tray next run for shits n giggles :p

So here it is with lights on with lights off and close up of the led water ionizer you can't see from the pics so well but its really neat because it makes a vapor and it looks like its hot boxing in there but its just vapor hahaha, I am a girl Greatwhitenorth thanks for noticing :)
