I am thinking of growing autos again in doors. I was wanting to know would a T5 2ftx4bulb 96 watt plus adding some CFLs be good for 3 autos in a small grow box? Or would I need a bigger T5 for 3 autos?
can I grow 3 autos with a T5 light?

That depends if they are smaller, indica dominant phenos, or three large sativa dominant phenos? Get a four foot lamp. Even then, spending that kind of money, you should just invest in a 400W HPS, or a series of spiral 125W CFLs. Look for used T5 Quantum BadBoys. If you can find TWO of them used for less than the price of ONE new lamp, buy the two lamps used! The yield will be much more worth the investment. Stay Crunchy!

It's my understanding that when using fluorescent lights you want 100 watts per plant.

yea my grow box is not that big. and with a 400 watt light, you need to spend more for ventilation, fans. Those things put out way to much heat.

I just vegged 70 clones under a 4' 4 bulb.. Now I have 10 2' plants under it. Things awesome.. had a 400 hps before.
