can i fix a bad fim with a top?

Hey guys ,i am growing 2 g13haze plants and decided to train them for a better result.So i read all the guides i could on topping and fimming and decided to go with fimming.So i fimmed at the 5th node 2 days ago.BUT since then ,after reading some more posts about fimming , i have become paranoid that i maybe didn't do it right. i seen a post where a guy id it wrong and posted a pic of his plant,and the plant just grew normaly with half leafs were he cut it in half ,this would seriously bum me out if this happened to me.

so ,if it does,could i just top the plant lower down to remove the bad fim job,would it still be effective ?

if the fim fails you can actually just top it from the same spot you tried to fim it and it would be fine or you could always try to reFIM the same one
