I dont mean to troll but would like to hear how this turns out I was being serious though as I do dtw coco but even with soil I asked about co2 pucks and its a no go. Ive never heard of anyone doing this but could always learn something new. Having all that co2 I found isnt all that in dtw coco just some will suffice.

So ya shaking a jug will do enough.

Co2 is essential for photosynthesis, via leaves, but not for roots. Roots need oxygen.
Thanks for not clowning me Im very embarrassed. I never was corrected misusing co2 and o2 and DO and dissolved co2.. Im in dtw coco and no one ever said this so wow I never gave them anything really. Welp I know what topic to blow time on next time I watch educational stuff.

CO2 in the substrate goes against anything I've ever learned . I've watered with H2O2 and seen plants perk up though .

When C02 is added to water, it makes a mild solution of carbonic acid, which will lower the ph of the water. (Google says ph of 3-5). If you do attempt this, I’d at least ph balance it before trying.
Yeh it mentioned that in the post I linked, so deffo something to consider if I do do it. Its funny you mention PH levels as my next post is going to be about the crazy PH levels that im getting atm, ironically carbonated water might actually help with that problem

Im still a bit on the fence whether this will work or not as Im now finding studies that range from 1962 to 2022 that say that roots "do" take up CO2 from their roots .. even google ai say they do?

It kinda makes sense that they would as they breath O2 via the tiny hairs on the roots .. So why not CO2 too? Im gonna do some more DYOR n il update when Ive got new info.

Nah, no reason to clown, if you're still learning. The beauty of dtw coco, Is the amount of oxygen it can hold. Just remember, leaves co2, roots oxygen.
