can i cut bottom leave set?

Just transplanted, and bottom leave-set usually drowns when i water :X. Those leaves are usually full of soil, can i cut them off ?

cut at the leaf end, not the stalk end, very important let the stem die and fall off on its own. Hope you saw this before you cut.

Glad I've joined this forum! Very first random post I read and I've learned something immediately.

Why cut at the leaf end and not the stalk end?

I am a novice grower and have just switched my third crop over to flowering and I have my fingers crossed lol
