yes why not . only if you trust it not to get to much colder, my luck the bitch would freeze them. and thc will fall off the buds and your done for. but if your confident on the fridge I would do it. and its dark in side perfect.

Can I set a fridge to 68-70 degrees and place my jars in there to cure?
A fridge at 70f would not be much of a fridge
i think fridges are supposed to be around 35-40f or 2-5 c
or food would not stay fresh
you could put the fridge on a timer LOL that would help to keep it at 70f

We're going to test the temp and see what the lowest setting is.

I know red wine is best chilled at 67 so I know they make machines that keep stuff "chill" at mid temps but a timer is no good ideA...

Never steady temps, not going to work at all for what I need and need I say insane high bill for power with constant power on an off

my one question is simply why would you, o anyone for that matter, cure their bud in a fridge??

not trying to be mean, i just don't see the benefit, unless you're thinking the constant temp would be some kind of benefit to curing bud, but i really don't see it playing that big of a role in it tbh..
if you wanna maintain a constant temp, throw them in a basement imo as basement are far enough below the freeze line that they maintain temps very well.. you ever see those homes built into mountain sides that are constantly like 68 degrees or so??

but yeah, i'm sure you could, just don't really see much if any benefit from doing so is all..

I'm just going to toss it out there..... You ever see a house in Florida near the mountins or a basement for that matter hence the FL in my name

I lived in Florida all my life until 7 years ago, when I was young and poor didn't have A/C except at night do to electric bill. Have you thought about a cooler just a big igloo? You can always throw a few ice cubes in there to bring the temp down but I would think it would stay pretty constant. Young and dumb I never checked the temtps inside but I seem to remember they were always cooler than outside. Anyway that is always where I stored my jars.

Yep fridge highest setting was 52 degrees....no dice.

Will test my temps today in my cabinet, then test temps in a cooler.

why not just keep the jars in the house somewhere and just burp them somewhere else. you will not smell it coming out of the jars if they are sealed.

Making something room temperature could require warming rather than refrigeration.

not sure where you are getting your information, but fridges use a very low amount of power
since you only need to keep to a temp of 70f a regular fridge would hardly need to be "on"
the timer idea was more of a joke to be honest thought you would realise that

you could buy a simple temperature controlled switch
or make one from a thermostat you can buy one very cheap or pull one from a heater
the wine chiller idea might prove to be more expensive with a specialized fridge

good luck

i agree but his room temp might be very high if he is like in the desert or something
guess he should have air con to keep everything at 70f and just keep the weed in a cupboard lol
maybe he wants to save on his lecky bill

My wine fridge has two zones and goes up to 75 degrees. So, yeah you could do that and throw some bottles of wine in there too.

I can suggest a few bottles that go well with bud. All of them. :eyesmoke:
