Can I Change My Lighting Schedule? Getting Hot Outside during the Day

Hey everyone im running autos right now as they were freebies and my first time but my ?? being they r on a 20/4 lighting scheduale on at 1030am off at 630am...I wanna add 2hrs a day of extra light till i can have my lights off from 12-4 maybe 12-6 change over to 18-6 now that they r budding...Can i do this without harming my beautys....Lemme know guys wanna start tomorrow if i can do this...No hermies wanted lol

Is this for photo-period plants too ? because i also have to change my lighting scheldule, i am gradually putting it forward 1 hour a day, would be alot easier to do it all in one go.

Thanks SERaPIS for the quick response...So are u saying to run them str8 thru with light until noon the next day then give 6hrs of darkness and be on my new scheduale in 1 day??so i turned them on at 630 this morning and wont turn them back off till tomorrow at noon???Is this correct..
