Growroom Products*>* In-Line Fans & Fan/Filter Deals*>*RUCK Fans

For your size room with a 400 the 125mm/5" high power version should do, or even one of the 150mm/6" ones to be sure.

Yea you mount it in the grow room, preferably high up, fix some duct to the output side then run the duct out the room.

Youl need to make a hole in the wall the same size as the duct and seal the duct into the hole with some duct tape or something, this will stop the warm air rushing back in via any gaps around the duct.

Then youl need intakes, id always advise intakes of at least twice the size of the extractor fan diameter if using passive intakes.

Then you keep your growroom door closed and the negative pressure created by the air being sucked out causes air to be drawn in via the intakes low down in the room, this will create a constant up draught of cool fresh air in the room.

Looks a bit obvious though, right?

If you get a cheap plastic louvered vent cover from B&Q or where ever, cut out the plastic meshy bit with a stanley knife so it doesnt restrict airflow too much, and stick it over the hole, you can use a bit of filler around the edges of it then paint it the same colour as the wall so it looks like its always been there if you want.

Still looks obvious though.

Just rotate it around so its upside down and voila! ya cant see nothing!

Also this way people who may walk past the vent wont get blasted in the face with warm growroom air as they walk past it  because the air is directed upwards by the vent ;-)

i am starting to get it so the end with the black fan blades(bigger end) is the intake and the other end of the fan that looks like a turbo(small end) fixes onto ducting that exits the room the way you said. but on the other side(intake)were do you fix it to??.
THANKS AGAIN.
getting there.
(sorry to be a pain in the ass).
CHRIS.

In the pic below, the end that im holding is the intake/sucking end, you can leave this end open so that it just sucks air from the growspace, or, you can put a carbon filter on this end so that the air sucked out is cleaned via the filter, or, you can attach a piece of duct to it and run the duct down near the light, so it sucks the warm air directly from the light/reflector area.

The end im not holding is the output/blowing side, this is the end you attach your output ducting to that runs out of the room like my above pics, you can also attach a carbon filter to this end so that the air is cleaned by blowing through the filter as opposed to sucking through it if it were on the other side of the fan.

i am going to take my time and finish this grow.a lot has changed and it's just another learning curve for me.next time this lighting shit wont be a problem and i should be just as quick as a.n.other and have a better understanding.
.
my first grow took ages(hawaiian skunk#1) and turned out a fine male nice and healthy before i cut it up and flushed it but now i am growing master kush so its constant learning for me as both strains have grown totally different so i will wait and see what happens over the next few weeks.
this was my male 20 days into flowering before i killed it.

Yea you can get better ones in the u.s i think, the ones iv seen posted in u.s peoples pics look better than our ones anyway.(not fair )

Dont know of any fan brand names you may have, sorry, but over here theyre called inline duct fans, brand names RVK, RUCK and PK fans.

The ones we use are originally intended for ventilation systems and can be run 24/7 365.

Theyre other types of fan too, like squirrel and caged accoustic fans, but i think the inline fans are generally quieter and cheaper.

I think Al B Fuct would be a good person to ask about fans in the u.s, im sure hes put some pics up in the gallery of extractor fans.
