Does it have to be in the sun to grow bud or you can have in shade and it will grow?
Can bud grow in any sunlight?

more sun=more bud
its hard to say what kinda shade u mean, under a carport roof is dif than shadded out by a gum tree for most of the after noon
so it will grow in the shade just not do as well
