I recently potted up to basically a 5 gallon pot using some flower bed potting mix to see how it would work through flowering as it stated it had higher Pk ferts In it.

I noticed a week later this browning of leaves. I've seen little gnats also flying around so j have laid sticky traps and recycled glass stuff that's meant to stop them laying eggs and hatching etc. Not sire if its due to these pesky flys.

I gave it a feed of some veg nutes last night to see if that will correct it and also added some dolomite lime to help correct the ph if that's off.

Any advice welcomed greatly.

Potting mix is fortified for long term growth. You shouldn't water with your own nute solution. Looks like nutrient burn. How was the root ball before transplant?

I very much doubt it is nute burn. I've only feed it nutes once as I'm aware the soil has nutes.

Looks to me like pests damaging the roots, possibly aphids? Post a couple pics of the pests that you're dealing with so we can identify them. I would also inspect the roots.

Cheers man i think you might be right. Will try and get a photo when some get stuck in the sticky traps.

I've hit the lady's hard with a combo of gnat off mix that goes on the top of the soil, stops them from hatching or laying eggs, gave them a drenching of vectobac, added the yellow sticky traps and installed some automatic insect sprayers. Any of those little shits should be history in a day :)
