Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I’m wondering who all has had success or any experience with becoming a licensed producer (recreational) in Canada. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance and happy growing

Basically unless your rich and you like the idea so much you want to lose money your locked out of participating in the legal market at this point. The smaller licensing options they provided are totally broken to the point of being completely useless.

Rich people paid lobbiests to have the laws written for them to have a oligopoly on the market. Now their regretting it because the black market didn't just shut the doors as they expected.

Unfortunately I had a feeling that’s what was going on. It’s too bad the industry could have been so much more than what it is now.

So how about investors? Get a few and open up shop. Shouldn't be discouraged that easy, there has to be a way.

Ya our main issue and fk up with Legalization in Canada was allowing 1 mother company to hold the monopoly , rather than allowing thousands to grow and sell to dispensaries and create work and cash flow for the economy, they elected to naturally go the greedy route and only sell what they farm. Its working so well for them so far lol

Meanwhile places like Colorado are just cruising along, if your shit is good enough and passes the required testing, you can make a living. Seems logical..Wish we had done similar.

Not until the laws get fixed and we get actual legalization IMO. Only way to make money on buds in Canada right now is to be on the other side of legality. As is you'd only be losing your investors money trying to compete in a regulated to death market that's having it's lunch eaten by those not burdened by having to follow 8 million stupid fucking rules.

It'll change. It's just like alcohol, when they ended prohibition the restrictions were crazy. Now they're just on the cusp of allowing sales in corner stores. We can try to speed up the process, point out how none of the things they were worried about have happened, but they'll just say "That means the restrictions are working". Doesn't matter who's in charge, just changes the pockets the money's flowing into.
I haven't seen the requirements for a craft producer's license, but that would be the only legal way to go right now, and the (I think) 200 sq meter of total canopy doesn't really scream "profit" to me given the probable costs.
