can anyone point me in the right direction to set up a grow closet

i have a closet in my basement it is about 10 feet long and about 2 1/2 feet wide . i want to set it up for indoor growing . i am new to this and want to do it right . i have money to spend on nice equipment so i want to do it the right way . i also would like to know where i can get either some real good clones or female seeds to get started . so if anyone can help me out with this a link to a place to buy or someone selling there stuff any help would be great . in turn i can hook you up with some tunes or even bud after its done for your help and time on this ..i posted a few other questions on here but it seems since i am a new guy people don't really want anything to do with me so if there is a kind soul out there that can take some time out and hook a brother up that would be great ....thanks

i know that but there are so many lights and stuff on there . i just thought someone on here would be cool enough to help me out on what to buy and stuff like that . if i want someone to be a wise ass to me i would go hang out with my friends ........

look around on the site and check out other setups and get an idea of what you want to do with your space, then we might be able to help a little more.

u need to decide what type of grow u wanna do and how maney plants u want there's no point having 1000w hps for just a couple of small plants

i have been checking out what other people are doing and some stuff looks cool and others look like it a cheese set up . i am looking to make the closet a year around growing closet . i can put in vent fan to keep the smell down and i would need a light setup and just some quick steps on what to do with them . like should i prun the big leaves or leave them alone. when should i start to cut down on the light . should i leave the lights on 24/7 or do something like 14 hours of light and then 10 hours of dark. should i put a fan in there blowing on the plants to make the steams strong stuff like that .....thanks for your time .........

well the closet is about 10 feet long so i really don't think i will be able to get that many plants in there i don't want to stuff them in together i am sure that won't be good for them so i would figure around 5 to 6 nice size plants . the closet is also 7 feet high ...thanks for taking time to help out

dont cut off any leaves if possible unless they pretty much look fucked.
while the plants are vegging they need 18-24 hours of light a day, for flowering its 12/12.
a fan helps promote big sturdy stems to hold up big buds so yes get a fan.

10 ft long. if you wanted to spend the money you could look into a light mover for something like a 600w cooltube and could grow sea of green (SOG) style with clones (think i saw you mention something about working with clones).

just an idea man...figure out what would work best for your needs

u could have two 5ft cubaords 1 for flowering and 1 for veg and have 3 or 4 in each so u always have plants to flower.hps in one and mh or envirolite in the other

my needs are to grow some nice bud . if i can get my hands on some good clones that would be great if not then iwill have to work with some seeds . is light mover the name of the light . also i see alot of people with tin foil on the walls is that a good thing or not and what would be the best thing to put up on the walls ?

light mover moves your light back and forth kind of like what your garage door sits on.
tin foil sucks ass, you want some mylar or you could paint walls flat white

that sounds like what i would like to do so i will always have something going . will i have to split the closet in half so when i am in the flower stage it doesnt get light from the plants that are in the veg stage . also would the lights be the same lights for both stages or do you need two different kind of lights for each stage ?

so something like a chain with a pulley sytem to get the light to move around .now would that take away light from the other plants each time i move it .

yeah but it just runs up and down the track every minute or so so you could cover more area.

but i like the idea of two chambers. maybe a small cabinet for veg and the rest of the closet for flowering? i dunno im just trying to help

there's also a post on here that show's you how to split your cubaord into 4 so you get weed every 2 weeks but i carnt remember what its called

i don't want to sound like a dickhead but i am new to this and want to do it right and try to get as much info as i can and pick a few peoples brains for ideas and stuff like that . but what does hps stand for and mh stand for also can you look at this link and tell me if this would be a good site to buy from ..thank you

mh=metal halide, good for veg...blue light

when do i know the plant is ready to be moved into the other room for flowering . will it start to flower in the veg room and then i move it or does it just work on a day thing (after 40 days move it ect....)
