buy a new bulb unless thats brand new , used bulb wont give you good results , how many watts is the ballast

I dont know about the ballast wattage, but we've used it for a 1000watt hps bulb and i think the 250 and 400 watt might think

im not an expert but im sure your ballast wattage should match to bulb wattage , and like i said if they are used bulbs you are better off buying new ones

there seems to be minimal electrode oxidation and the seals on the tube are intact, that means you should be fine using them, especially since thats a rather expensive bulb. If it fails, it fails, no biggie but you have a good bulb there, use it. There should be a model number on the bulb, check that against the EYE Hortilux website to determine the wattage.
