I know that Patrick Stewart is disabled, but what else is the movie about? Is it worth watching?

only if you know anything about the comics.. had a brother who tried desperately to get me into comic collecting with him.. he would tell me all about what he read.. I've seen most of the series but.. I also have a 12 year old son.. so...............

i was never into comics, but the one about wolverine was awesome

I had to answer this one, I am a huge fan of the comics not so much the movies. The comics are much more revealing, each character has a certain power but there is also a weakness. Stan Lee made the dichotomy of man as his backdrop. Though they had superpowers they were also vulnerable, in the case of Professor Xavier his being unable to walk but have incredible mental powers, Storm is claustrophobic and Wolverine is for all intents and purposes immortal and has to constantly deal with the fact that he will out live every single one of his family and friends.
The stories are varied and span several years, decades to come to an end, the movies are just fluff pieces never truly delving into the true characters and their flaws.

The movies are good for a rainy day and should be enjoyed for what they are, an escape from reality.

One of my favorites is Warlock and the Infinity Watch

Basically they are super-gifted freaks chastised by society around the world for being not strictly humans. They "mutated" in order to gain powers.
So everybody in the marvel world loves heroes (like Spiderman) and aliens but hates mutants... logic? None.

The only time I've seen the x-men movies was on a lot of Ketamine. Highly recommended.

Comic books:
Like most mediums it is a subjective way of dealing with life's foibles during a specific era/time {The Watchmen is a good example of this}. Most comic books cover racism, environmentalism, capitalism and many other ism's, but when they're dissected into mainstream media {Hollywood-ism} most of the real important stuff gets left on the cutting room floor. Their concerns are how big the explosion should be, instead of focusing on the reason behind why the antagonist does what he does.

love that storm girl, that white eyes and frosty hair ohh yeah!

just re-read that i may have a thing for older women with cataracts, ill get back to yah on that one

Watch X-men: First Class ( 2011 )
basically it is about the beginning of x-men and how they started back in the day... 1962.
before professor Xavier was paralyzed and how he gets "mutants" to expand their...talents ;)

x-men is a sci-fi movie, based on comic books about "mutants" and their vast array of talents.
