So how far above the water would you say to have the bottom of the pot? Like 1/2 inch or an inch? And if I do that do I start watering the plants from the top until the roots come through the bottom or should the just find there way there on there own, thanks mate I'll Google that nowput some air stones/agitators in that res for better results.
put the pots on top of a couple of those racks so they are not sitting in the water at all, the roots will grow down and find the water, usually only a few of them and those will do fine this way. google octopotscom

I see that as a complete different setup, do you not see a way to make what I'm already doing workable
