Can A Regular Doctor Recommend Medical Marijuana?

Ok. So I've been doing some research into getting on the medical marijuana program in Michigan.

Well, it's not going so well. The internet, (as usual), is very little help. I keep getting sent to either specialized clinic websites, or local compassion clubs and NORML.

I'm wondering can't my regular doctor write the recomendation? He's an M.D. just like the specialists and a whole hell of a lot easier to make an appointment with.

I don't know if it's the same in USA as it is in Canada but the Compassion clubs there I hear are very helpful at finding the " right " doctors to go to. There is a lot of paper work and it is going to cost you how much I'm sure will depend on your area.peace out Headband707

I agree, if your regular doctor will sign that is the way to go. You can get a rec for the cost your copay. However many doctors are reluctant to sign due to federal [DEA] pressure. That's where the $200 specialty doctor visits come into the scene.

I speak with minimal knowledge of MI since we're in CO, but I imagine it's the same as it is here.
