Can a Food Dehydrator be used for drying marijuana

I was talking to friend of mine and we were discussing different techniques on drying marijuana. A food dehydrator came up and neither one of us have ever heard of anyone trying this out to see if it would actually work.

I'm curious?

yup, used one just be careful not to over do it, i say let it dry a day on its own before you put it on there, then again i'm a noob only did it a few times so i could be wrong.

it will dry it too fast, drying and curing take time to let the chlorophyl evaporate and let the weed become smoother. It's a process that can't be rushed. The smoke will be harsh

Food dehydrators are used when "water curing" GROWFAQ

Be warned though... if you are looking for weight quantity... it reduces the amount more than traditional air dry/cure.
