Can a female become a male due to stress?!

Hi,

a friend got a clone from a friend,it should be a female but it started to flower and he's pretty sure it's a male.
Wich really sucks!
Can it be it was a female and became a male due to interruptions in the night-cycle?
Since he sometimes had to take care of her during lights-off and had to turn on the lights for let's say half an hour max. ?
Can this trigger a sex change?
And is it reversible??

that cant turn into a male but it probably is a hermie. yes the light thing is probably what did it. it only takes sometimes as little as a night light on for 1 hour or so to fuck her up. no way to fix it. it will still bud but be full of seeds. quantity is less but quality is usualy still the same

now if you let it seed you will have feminized seeds. it was the clones from mom that stressed due to light but if it seeeds you should have abot 90% female seeds so they say. i`am trying this right now for a breeding project

I'm afraid its most probably a hermie :(, sorry bud. Bonz said it all though, your 2 options are:

1. continue with the grow and get less bud
2. be cheeky and ask your friend for a fresh clone.

....and this time move it in its light half of the cycle lol. good luck mate. Be sure to tell us what you decide.

it prob has turned into a hermi, unless u got riped off..... but it sounds like u turned it into a hermi by turning on the lights during the dark period, never do that!!!!!!!!

thanks for the fast response.
You've all figured out my friend is me so...

I plan to give it at least another week.
IF I spot female flowers I'll continue the proces,but I haven't spotted any female flowers yet. (3 days after first seeing signs of flowering)
I like the idea of making my own feminised seeds.
By the way,I forgot to mention that the strain I have is White Haze.:bigjoint:
Also I managed to make my own clone,so not everything is lost. :)
Maybe worth mentioning is this actually is a LED/CFL MicroGrow experiment..
That's about it.

you guys can tell from these pics looks hermie to me but i could be way off as the pics really dont show anything

holly crap those balls are almost as big as mine, and you cant see those?
on the first pic those aren`t hairs sticking up those are leaves
