Can 2 plants survive and thrive in the same pot?

Great point....sometimes less is more!
Peace

i grew 4 in a 5 gallon container outside 1 year. it worked fine but i think growth is limited. i could have grown 1 and got the same yield. good for different strains though. i think a plant is like a goldfish. it will grow to the size of it's container.

I was wondering, I have one big planter that I would love to grow 2 plants in. The planter is 12 inches wide by 10 inches deep and has pleanty of drainage. After I start them in the smaller planter can I transplant them into the same planter and still reap a good harvest (providing they are both female but the feminized seeds say they should be) but worst case scenario i should be able to cut one ont and have the other live RIGHT? Best Case scenario both female, WILL the BOTH Thrive in the same planter all else being equal (great lighting, conditions etc...)
On my first grow I was limited in space and had to veg and flower in the same pot! I started off with 5 in vegging and all was good! Don't get me wrong, this was a huge pot (not sure of dimensions). When I went into flowering, the only problem (which wasn't even a big deal) was that I encountered 2 males in my batch. I caught them early enough that I would be O.K. I simply just pulled the males out from the bottom of the stem! My 3 females continued to thrive and finished flowering with a nice little harvest!

I remember people saying that the plants would kill each other because they would fight for food and things like that. This may be true, but in my case it was not. After harvest I dumped out the soil to examine the roots. All 3 plants were entangled like crazy, but they still all thrived and budded great. I am not sure why this is, but definitely worked for me! I now only plant 1 in each pot just to make sure I don't encounter any future problems, but if 5 could survive together, then I would think 2 could as well. Good luck with your grow!

Well I started using the bending technique and bent them away from eachother by strting at the soil line and pressing them away from each other every other day for a couple of days and they started growing UP again so I will tie a string to the stem and pull them apart slightly every so often. When I am done they should look like a big letter U. I have also trained my lights to cause them to grow apart instead of UP. Heres a LOOK

Well the bending seems to be workin they were 6 inches apart at the top they are now 12 and AGAIN beginning to grow UP (following the strongest light.) I will allow this for another few days or a node whichever comes first they are at only 3 weeks now and I think in one more im going to flower because if 1 gallon to a foot of growth hold true and they are each rooted in 2 gallons of soil then If I wait till 8 inches tall to start to flower then they should go to 2 feet by the end. AM I RIGHT?

i was kinda thinking, could u maybe, since that pot is huge, make some sorta wall between each plant keeping the roots from tagleing? so that u would water the plants individually rather than all together kinda making it like seperate pots in one?
