Cameras in grow room

been growing with cameras for a few cycles now. It helps me with my micromanaging problem instead of having to go and unzip the tent every 5 minutes. heh I haven't experienced any negative effects from IR so far. Logically, I assume if over 730nm (which is used to put plants to sleep) then it shouldn't be photosynthetic enough to wake the plants up.

I would expect a camera to be more of a novelty than a useful asset in a tent but at the cost of them these days yes it would be nice to have, I'd like to see a cycle condensed into a few minutes, who knows you might even glean some useful information from it, at worst it's still cool af?

I think the main thing I get from them is keeping the tent humidity/temps consistent. (I pump AC directly into mine so keep it cold in Flower) So the less I need to go into them.. the better. Another benefit is if you use the PTZ type cameras. I actually spotted a non-working UV bulb once via camera which I wouldn't have noticed since I usually cut UV off before opening the tent.

mine does have the option of turning of the ir. I only had gotten the camera to catch the ghost getting their hands in my jars and taking bud out without asking while I was gone on fishing trips. Moved camera in to look at plants after catching that one bad ass grandkid that thinks grown ups are dumb
Been using cameras with IR for over 7 yrs
Haven't had any hermie on me yet and i've been using feminized only.

Gave me peace of mind while I was out of town for three days. Without it, I would have wondered: was there a power outage, are they ok, did I water too much before I left, did the timer malfunction…stupid thoughts i wouldn’t think if I was home.
