CalMag deficiency in FFOF fed with RO water?

I have some young plants in a solo cup filled with FFOF. I've been feeding it RO water only & I believe I'm starting to see a CalMag deficiency. Does FFOF need a CalMag amendment if you're only feeding RO water?

I was thinking of adding a little bit of powdered dolamite lime, but wasn't sure if that was necessary.

I would use a little cal mag only a little though maybe quarter/half the recommended strength but I have no idea if it would kill the microbes i doubt it though
Keep it green dude

I add calmag to FFOF once a week at watering to aid in uptake while under high intensity LED. It helps keep things running since LED GROWS can make some plants calmag whores ( less transpiration ) and only to supplement.

Hey hows it going @Budzbuddha . I'm getting ready to start my first grow under 4 qb120's in a 4x2x6 cabinet. I'm planning on using FFOF, and intend to add perlite and worm castings. Do you have any advice for freshly germinated seeds going into FFOF? I'm planning on germinating in a jiffy puck, then transplanting into 1qt pots. I've always had luck with them, but if you have any insight I would appreciate it.
Also, do you test the soil to decide when you start adding the weekly cal-mag, or are you basing this off of experience with how the plant looks?
Sorry for so many questions, I've spent months researching, but the information I find does not always come from someone growing in FFOF and LED's. It's nice to be able to learn from someone who's already walking the path. Thanks for the advice.

Your plant is the indicator of going on in both health and it’s host medium doing its job. Happy soil happy plant.

Gen Organic calmag plus is OMRI listed safe for living soil mixes. I used this for about a year and a half until the eggshells I put into the worm bin finally got into the mix and started working. It’s not easy to provide a good source of macros without resorting to soluble liquids.
For seedlings or young clones I use straight unamended recycled soil. Just break up an old root ball. You can use fresh FFOF if you add in coco coir and maybe some perlite to cut it down. Jiffy’s are ok but straight into soil might be easier.
