hey everyone i am a person looking to grow a few plants in a box 6 ft tall with 4x5 area.I am yet to buy a mh/hps light any suggestions? preferably a inter-changable so i can use both mh/hps also wattage for both mh/hps bulbs? I am going to build this box out of ply wood but am going to caulk the contact points in hopes to create a smell proof (outside)box.....possible? obv a carbon filter is going to be needed and intake vent/out vent. I am in a apt. so scent control is very important. I have botani care nutes for both flower and veg. I am currently growing some bag seed which is about a week old and seem to be looking nice for now under cfls. When should i add nutes<and what strength?every water? temp in room is around 80.....give or take! as these seeds are not my focus i am going to try them under cfls.i ordered wonder woman seeds I am curious on this strain and if its extremel diff to grow?yeild/smoke? all help is appreciated i will try to log in daily and update and obv pics when seeds sprout-bloom! points given for help! thanks and happy token!!

Today i built a box def not to shaby if i dont say so my self the box is 7 ft tall 4x5....painted the inside white used latex paint.?>?.!!!........now i am interested in lights and the type of light called a inter-changable ballast????? i am unsure if that means its a full sprectum light or if the ballast has to be changed manually, or u just swap light bulbs?......need to make budget friendly solution for both flwering and veg.....? any reccomendations?I will post a pic of grow area in future when the paint drys... I am currently awaiting to start my project the correct way this time around!...all help is appreciated! My box is hopefully air tight used caulk when attaching all ends along with screws..plan on installing a fan system more than likely 2 will be needd along with in the box fan.....carbon filters (1,2?).....will my door be fine using weather strpping to prevent odor leak>? used latches 4 of them to close the door as much as possible.?(smells not important now but def a worrysum issue in another month!) well im online now and looking around at lights wanna buy something tonight ....a fast response is def ++++++ Thanks for any and all help!

well my box is 6 ft tall tho...iwanted to not worry about height containment (TRY DIFF STRAINS) . the smell issue and proper flow thru the 2vents is key..any sugges? i am already contiplating making a clone container any ideas? when /how to cut clones? my bagseeds sproutd jan29

yeah thanks i looked there and decided that it was my ph it was 7 ilowered it to a 6 5.8 hope it fixes the prob i used ph downer to the water then the water tothe plant . proper method?

plants seem to be looking better seeds came in any ideas on lights to use on n sprouts ?mn or cfl to start?

5 they are my first ofgical grow with foxfarmsoil, nutes a real growbox real lights (hopefully a cloner) i wanna be succesful this time around! my current plants(bagseed) ph (soil level) is6..5 with alot of what id say yellowing and curling of the older leafs new growth looks healthy tho.? yesterday i rewatered in fear the ph was off the meter ibought from hd measures ph and fertility it says.....fertility test show the soil as being weak or to little ....possible already?.... thanks for your help soda iwanna fix ph,fertilizing issues now before i start my ww.

DId you get the probe ph tester or the little mix kit with the test tube? Either or, those probes are not to reliable so if your ona budget Id make sure and have both. Make sure you test your run off as well. Ultimately You'll want to spring for a Oakton PH tester or the like, some 7ph calibration solution and some GH PH up & Down. Keep em growin!

Ok so i fianlly got around to taking pics and posting them (as i will try to right after i post this up)! I decided to induce sprouting by by placing 2 seeds in wet paper towel inbetween plates.(only 2 ww seeds do that the fact that i can not have to many plants)...i took pictures of the box...decided to go with silver mylar that i ordered with the 400 watt hps...... i also took pics of the current setup....(obv just waiting for the lights) which at that point i will setup a inlet and outlet with 2 sep fans(intake and exh fans any ideas on cfpm box is 3x5-35-6ft?)and 1 lrg inbox fan. I keep the temps no lower than 72 and never more than 77....seems to be doing well i willmix rocks or glass stones of somesort to help with drainage when the seedlings sprout with nirvanas w.woman.i took pics of the already in process (bag weed seeds) that are around 14 days old .( looking good or no?)srry if pics arent the greatest snaped them fast....i need advice and all comments appreciated.....

I am am going to plant the seedlings in 2 perlite expanding pots then go to a 3 gall bucket (blacked out).I will use fox farms orig gro medium def going to mix with something to allow proper drainage,,,i have my fingers crossed that they sprout and turn out nice as the seeds looked rather small...any sugges>??????what should the ph of my soil be for them to be happy as fresh sprouts...dont want to shock them to bad! i read 6-7 but am unsure what everyone with experience thinks>? I will post progress as i go but want it to be acurate to provide good knowledge for the people who are willing to help ....so they can help diagnose and provide sugges.....thanks
