Calling all geniuses...(watering help PLEASE)

Ok I need a solution to a problem. I'm sure someone can help.

I need someone to help me think of something I could use to "Spray" water from airline tubing (Think like the way Windex sprays when you squeeze the grip, or like a sprinkler when it detects smoke). I am trying to make something that will automatically feed my clones so I don't have to be there to feed them 3 times a day. This is what I have to work with...

30-60gph fountian pump going to 1/2" hose. 1/2" hose plugged, and 8 X 1/4", or 1/8" tubes spliced in to water my individual plants. At the end of those, I have drip nozzels.

Ok, so great, but when I have clones I have to spray the leaves, so a drip nozzel won't work. I want to splice another 1/4" or 1/8" line to the main hose, and then attach something on the end of it that will take low pressure and SPRAY it out to where instead of dripping water on a plant, it will MIST it onto the leaves.

I have tried Airstones, irragation spray nozzels from lowes, and even tried destroying a windex bottle for the tip. all of them just drip! Im guessing the airstones holes are to small, and the sprayer doesnt have enough pressure, and the windex nozzel was doomed from the begining!

I know i could just poke a bunch of holes into another section of tubing, but I really would rather it SPRAY out instead of drip!

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks everyone!

i like your idea...what about a battery operated spray bottle...there has to be some way to rig some type of timer to it to make it spray when you want...we need an electronics pro!

Are you serious? Did you just spam up my thread with a timer...when im talking about a water pump???

I am very satisfied with all my lcd digital timers thank you.

And as far as the nozzels, thats exactly what I have.

I think your heart is in the right place (maybe), but seriously, all that for a timer when we arnt talking about on/off problems. lol

If your a normal joe, then thanks for your input!

but if your a salesman for that timer, GET THE **** (<----I did it myself) OUTTA HERE YOU PIECE OF **** NO ONE WANTS YOUR JUNK!!!

Side note: ROTFLMAO!!! Just for fun I google'd that timer, guess what, its the one i'm using, I have 4! Nice timers, but a little overpriced and a pain in the *** to set up.

if you have that pump with 1/2" ports, you could use reducers which will increase your pressure, but you don't want to create back flow with too much pressure. 360 degree micro irrigation nozzles can be purchased at lowes. They're hard to find though, so you'll have to hunt, and they aren't in the garden section.

If you don't need the 360, they have 180, 270, and 90, and some of them you can manipulate and change the range. A bigger pump would help you a lot. I'd look in to a pump with around 150-170 gph. I think it will work with what you have as long as you don't try to cover too much area. Fogger nozzles are available too.

Put it on a timer and you're good. Brinks makes a cheaper one that works great you can set it in 15 minute intervals.
