Ive been watering everyday, plants loving it, always praying. 15 litre fabric pots with cannas coco professional plus 30 percent perlite mix. I feed my gals 2 liters of water each by hand daily, with a nutrient ratio of 15 ml of CANNA A and 15ml of B, 6ml of cannazym, 6ml of boost and 3ml of rhizotonic to 6 litres of water everyday, ive never had a problem. They are 1 week into flower looking great. Im here to get a straight answer. Do i bother doing a plain water feed or should i just always treat coco with nutrients every feed if all is good.

Always feed.

If you choose to feed heavy then a light feed wont hurt once or twice a crop but its better to feed light and consistently to 10-15% run off.

If in doubt and you have an ec truncheon then test the run off as your entering flowering and if you do run into a problem check the run off first. Because its probably the biggest cause of issues in coco mid flower. Heavy feeding can lead to salt build up, especially if your don't have much run off.

@TintEastwood has some good reading material on coco. Im sure he will share.

I use GH Flora trio instead of Canna A and B. I use the same Coco 50/50 with xlg perlite. Every 2 weeks I flush with water even though I feed lightly the plant only takes up the nutrients it needs. Therefore I figure there are always some salts building up so one day out of 14 they get a low osmolar water 250ish TDS to flush retained salts. I also add CaliMagic (GH's Ca and Mg supplement). Best of luck on your grow.

Canna nutrients were originally designed for European use and for use with tap water, so some of us are lucky enough to have enough calcium in our tap without having poor quality water.

Do y'all find you go through a TON of nutrients fertigating every day? Keeping my feed at 2.0+ ec for every watering during flower is having me go through my nutrients like never before. Is this normal? For 3 plants in 5 Gal fabric pot, I'm going through 2-4 gallons of water a day if I fertigate 2-3 times, takes almost 1 cup of nutes to get that much water to the right ec level. I came here wondering if it makes sense to do like one heavy feed a week at say, 2.0 - 2.5 ec followed by a 4-6 days of say, 1.0 - 1.5. Since often my runoff ec is about the same as what's going in, it has me wondering if a bunch of the nutes are just getting wasted rather than used.

At what point do you stop using rhizotonic?
