Isn't this meaningless? Hundreds of thousands of semi-auto long rifles already exist in California. Millions more exist just a state line or two away. Which manufacturers do you sue, since these thing will literally last forever given proper care?
Maybe I'm just jaded now. Sigh....

Well I guess this is where the “got to start somewhere” comes in. I hear what your saying though. It seems like trying to build a log cabin from tooth picks :(. Perhaps one day it’ll be finished :(.

maybe you guys knw what that means; i've never had gun or know gun lingo..doesn't FLL have to do with getting something from the FBI?

The right will lose their minds about this, may be refereed to by future generations as the great snowflake meltdown of 2021. Here's a quote from Newsom LOL.

SCOTUS is letting private citizens in Texas sue to stop abortion?! If that's the precedent then we'll let Californians sue those who put ghost guns and assault weapons on our streets. If TX can ban abortion and endanger lives, CA can ban deadly weapons of war and save lives.

I figured someone would do that with the idiotic SCOTUS decision and he won't be alone. Kinda like when Roberts struck down voter's rights, cause he said the "new south" had changed, look where ya are now.

they should make this a national law where people can sue platforms that allow people to spew hate speech, like facebook, discord, gab, gettr
where people can sue news services like fox for allowing assholes like fucker carlson to broadcast out right lies and hate...

I just see it as the gay cake baker case. Don't want to bake cakes for gays...well that's cool, so the official rules you conservatives are going with are these business rights...well ok, our business is the internet. Get out. Go back to Gab you fucking dorks.

A major focus is the ghost gun phenomenon. Ghost guns are the sort of thing that will disenfranchise mild/mannered gun owners like me. They’re a constructionist finger hoisted at every sort of firearms regulation. The military term for such a state is “destabilizing”.

If i had my way, ghost guns and no-FFL gun shows would end. In return, it would be nice to see Federal pushback against the most severely restrictive states, establishing some sort of common framework for, say, shall-issue permits for concealed carry, and open carry away from cities and some Federal sites.

And the NRA has devolved from “the gun owners’ union” into a MAGA PAC, cheering on the disassembly of civil gun rights and privileges. The best way to undercut the NRA is to undercut its most secure market: sales to police. The police weapons exemption is a blight upon our laws. Treat them as what they are:
civilians. Subject them to the exact same gun laws as John and Jane Doe.

Liberals love scary guns though.

How else will they enforce laws to take guns from otherwise peaceful people? Pay for their government forcibly funded schools? Repel looters and mass store larceny gangs? Oh wait, scratch the last one.
