Hey I live in socal, and this is gonna be my first outdoor grow. Im a little late as I was planning on starting this earlier.

The weather today is spectacular and I am very excited to get this on the way!

However like I said previously I have never done an outdoor grow, and I am concerned if I am timing this correctly?!

Can someone please give me a few words of wisdom as far as this is concerned.

If I was to put my clones in my pots outside today would they be ok!?

I apologize for my lack of knowledge but the books I have ordered have not come yet!!!! haha

Thank you all

well first off you need figure out if your going to use seed from the beginning till end, or plant some seeds grow a few plants take a clone from each one flower it and see what flowers they are then when you find the female take more clones and use the best for your outdoor crop.that method is very good.you can still start the seeds outdoor too and be fine. plant them in April and may if you want monsters, or you can start them in June or very early July and keep them small. i would also pick up some sort of soil to mix in the ground or if your using pots then potting mix..pots very convenient and come large sizes to support large plants. nutrient additives are not necessary but can help depending what you use. i like foxfarmOF,perlite, worm castings it works well so does the miracle grow with no nutrients added but if your growing in the ground that kind would be alright.other than that care for them and dont over water and let soil dry good then water real good then repeat and be sure to water real heavy during last few weeks to flush out salt build up sugars to get clean tasting bud.:blsmoke:

The plants use sugars and starches and other things to grow and they create this over time inside them selfs. Also salts build up in the soil from nutes and watering over time. so flushing with plain water means you water them really heavy and then let them get really dry then water really heavy again and repeat this for 2 weeks before harvest. your basicly watering the crap out of them without killing them. and oh yea make sure you let the soil dry out completely before chopping ur girls, to rid any extra moisture so drying your buds will go faster.and after you chop let the buds dry until you can hear the stem snap from its dryness, if its stems are bendy its not ready.when the stems are snapping place your buds into a glass jar thats sealed and give them room, dont cram them in, and then leave them a day and open daily a few times to give fresh air and make sure you watch them you don't want them to get to moist and mold.once you have done this for about 7 days or so they should taste good, burn evenly and be overall spongy. you can cure as long as you want but just don't store buds long periods of time in jars until they are cured for 7 -15 days or more or they will mold.other than that just let them do there thing and water them:blsmoke::joint:bongsmilie

Thank you for the awesome response!

Today I woke up to find some of my plants leaves drooping along with either a slight brown or yellow bloches on some of the leaves.

Any Idea what I should do? I checked my ph level of water and soil.

The soil could be a little better its at 6.9 7.0? And I just tested the water I have been using its at

chlorine-0
Alkalinity-80
pH-6.4

Im sorry for the noob questions. Im doing my best to find information that has allready been posted.

Thank you!

First off how often are you watering and are you letting the soil dry between waters?if any how much nutes are you using?

I used a tiny bit of this root stuff to help it when I transplanted it.

I believe all it had was some iron in it? "was recommended by a friend?"

I dunno if I am watering it too much (3 times today) I don't believe I am. I have been keeping a very close eye on it, and only giving it water when the dirt a finger length down is no longer wet.

However the last time I watered it, I don't believe I should have.

Its dark now, and the soil around it is still rather damp. Which is a bad thing er?

thanks

I love in So-cal If you are trying to "finish" in June great, but if you want to finish in the fall then you planted to early. I did an outdoor grow that I plaknt on this dat 3/7 last year. It finished in early june and did not reveg.

Best

Thank you for the tip! However I am just trying to learn the basics before I fully commit to doing this.

So this is a trial experience, even though it would be wonderful to have my first baby do great!

Edit: also I have varrying nutrients lying around my house, I found one that is 12-8-10 with 2% iron. Except I dunno if that is ok to use.

So today I decided to move my plant indoors to make sure I can flower it correctly.

I need to be somewhat stealthy with this project so I decided to use an old onkyo sub woofer case I have. I am trying to figure out exactly how to pull this off as I need to be completed with this in the next few hours!

I was planning on hooking up two simple compter fans for intake and outtake of the case. However I am not exactly sure how I will manage to power them. Other than of course the obvious, mounting a computer power supply somewhere and plugging that in.

My leaves are about the same amount of brown/yellow as they were yesterday.

To me it looks like a Magnesium deficiency so I prepared some water with Epsom salt in it last night. However I am not exactly sure so I only used a tiny bit of it until I am able to find out more information.

I am now off to buy some mylar and my hps lights!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!bongsmilie

Thanks :peace:

yup those are important too.you can use old power adapters or new ones that put out 12v dc so that way your fans wont blow up and will run at maximum performance.other than that good luck.:blsmoke:

Make sure you visit erowid.org and look at all their grow guides. fuck those books, you can learn everything that you need from that site. make sure you dont tell anyone that you are growing or where. dont ever take anyone to the location. good luck mate, and remember to clip the leaf tips to distort the appearance as well as producing more potent fruit.

Thank you! I'm still trying to figure out how to cut these wires (as I am using computer fans) so that I can hook it up to one of the 12v dc. But as of now I am at a loss!

I believe my plant is beginning to fall over at the top? I am not 100% sure as it is just bending a little bit.

Thanks you both of you for your help!

red is positive and black is negative on the computer fans.on the ac/dc adapter thats 12v it should have 2 wires one that has white dashes or bars along the wire and the other solid black.the one with white dashes is positive hook that to the red wire then the black to the black.you should then be able to plug it straight into the wall.also make sure you tape up you wires using electrical tape so there are no exposed wires.

as for your plant unless its looks broken don't worry:blsmoke: they grow all sorts of weird ways.

So the fans are up and running!

They have blue L.E.D lights on them and I am somewhat concerned if that could have any negative affect to the plant?!

Should I switch them out for regular ones?! (which I would need to buy)

The plant is getting bigger and has significantly increased in smell! Which I assume means I am making progress

One of the oldest leaves is drooping and has a slight tinge of brown to it, however I am colorblind and am not 100% sure it is brown!

I also completed my preparations for my outdoor spot. There are ferns that are about 6-8 feet tall that surround my spot, they are soo thick that you could easily lose direction in them.

I cleared out a square spot that is 6 feet on all sides, and placed chicken wire to form my square. I then replanted all the ferns that I had ripped out, on the outside of the wire for some better camouflage!

All I need to do now is prepare the soil, and wait for my baby!
