Welcome jokers, smoker, and midnight tokers! This is my FIRST grow and I'm super excited to share this experience with the RIU community :D

So you know what I'm growing, so let me hit you with a picture of all 5 of my ladies. I just received the Sour-D and the Cali. Connect Cookie 2 days ago so they're not really products of my green thumb but I'm more than happy to have them in my garden!

From right to left:
Female GDP, Cali Cookie, Gucci, Sour-D, GDP Auto

Some background on the ladies would be a nice place to start since I don't have any previous pictures of these ladies )': They grew ridiculously slow before because they were dealing with temperatures ranging from 60-63 degrees in the day and below 60 at night if we don't have a nice fire going before bed (cheap living with one room mate so every dollar counts xD). But, I got my heater with the Sour-D and Cookie so my grow room is now consistently in the 70-74 degrees range with 44-48% humidity. So the plan is to veg these ladies out until the four that will produce clones can fill our grow tent. With the possibility of out-door on our hands, these may just become backyard monsters for us to clone off. I'll get pictures of all the indoor equipment another night. The soil im using is that Ocean Mix by Fox Farms. Its not the best soil I know, i just have a couple bags I'm not going to let sit around in my garage. so I'm using them before i get, or make better soil. My initial 3 plants all went into soil on the 24th of November. The Gucci actually went in about 2 weeks after the purples, but I don't know the exact day so I'm clumping it with the rest. The 2 GDP's and the Gucci started off being feed nothing but RO water since i know that this soil is usually too hot for most seedlings. They all grew fine but slow (the cold, or what California calls cold hahah) and all had good root growth before transplant. They got their first feeding of nutrients the week of, or after Christmas. They've been fed nothing but molasses and a little Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow 3-2-4, Botanicare Liquid Karma 0.1-0.1-0.5 and Cal-Mag.
So for now, more pictures :D

1.This right here is the auto flower GDP. So she has had no bloom nutrients because I desperately need to hit up the hydro store for some )': Honestly, I don;t even know what to do with her right now. I just have her in the closet with the rest under the T8's even though she needs to be put under a high pressure sodium i just don't feel like running a 600W for one plant at the moment. No extra money for that wasted light xD

2.This is the Cali. Connect Cookie cut but I'm not sure if it is. She is a little banged up, but I'm just happy to grow another free plant from a good friend (:

3. This is the Sour-D. Thought I took 2 photos of this one, but I guess I didn't. Wooops. I will get more up next update. Excited for this plant. A lot of Sour-D ran through my town from the numerous outdoors crops and this was from the best Sour-D i smoked this season so I'm really excited for this one (:

4.Now this is the Gucci. This has definitely been the Head Mistress in this closet. She had the fastest and nicest pearly white roots while also being the youngest. I'll make sure to upload root shots after my next transplant. But she just got transplanted yesterday.

5. This here is the female GDP. She's flourishing and I'm just letting her do her.

Stay tuned, I'll be back to update soon. Stay stoned and enjoy the good life my friends :bigjoint: - Urnasc Grimes

Nice to see you again RIU! :D Welcome back to the second update to my very first grow journal!!

So for starters the closet went from 5 plants to 3. The Cali Connect Cookie cut was infected with Thrips and the neem oil wasn't halting the problem fast enough so i cleared her from the closet :/ And the Autoflower was a hermied auto?? She was starting to flower up (not my first time experiencing marijuana bloom) but later down the line i noticed some big ole' balls on the hermie so i tossed it out the next day as well :/ Didn't think pictures were necessary before i butchered them. That leaves us with 3 plants: The GDP, The Gucci OG, and of course the Sour Diesel.

The Sour-D is definitely making a comeback from the white flies and their eggs. It took me a while to clear most of the eggs. Found a few flying bugs around the grow area so they were all murdered, no big deal. She is also in a different soil mixture than the other two as you can see and it is retaining water way better than the foxfarms so its cool that I don't have to worry about her so much.

Now I don't know why I didn't get a top view of the purple so I will have to do that tomorrow )': So the purple has had some chunks taken from it because the white flies, but the rooms has been bug free for the past couple days. I'll keep you guys posted on that. For the big news, she has flashed the RIU community, letting you know, she is female (;

This Gucci makes me excited to check my closet everyday. Hahahah! She always has recognizable growth even through the multiple tops. Super excited for this one :D

Well thank you for making a stop and checking out my grow! Commenting IS required though ;D good or bad, ill accept either. Constructive criticism would be appreciated the most. Night tokers! :bigjoint: - Urnasc Grimes

Looks Great iScrog. I am looking forward to see how your GDP comes out. Ive got a GDP Scrog I just put into flower. Not sure how purple my phenotype is but hoping for some nice dense purple nugs. I topped my GDP twice.

Thanks for the kind words friend (: I'm checking out your Scrog right now and it looks good bro!! She looks like shes growing without a problem. Whatever your doing, keep doing it :D My GDP is a little behind because she went without a heater for half the winter :/ but they are flourishing now. Transplanted today so I'll update photos soon!

Well where I live in California, it doesn't snow in the winter. It gets cold, but we have it easy. But in the middle of winter, without a heater, my room would be either 60 or lower. Usually it hovered around 58-62. Cold DOES help a plant in the flowering stage by increasing trich production to keep the calyx warmer and colder temperatures tells the plant that winter is coming. So instinctively they go into "ripen" mode and send everything they have left into the flower before they die off for the winter. BUT cold temperatures can (but not always) affect a plant negatively in veg. Plants have a harder time absorbing nutrients and water when its cold. Therefore, its possible for mold to form on top, or in your soil. I only explained all this because i read that you didn't have a heater and were dealing with colder temperatures in your thread. Its not too much to worry about, but I'd try to get a heater soon. How big is your grow room? If it's not too small, I can send you a youtube link to make a homemade heater that costs like 0.08 cents a day to use.
