you bring up an interesting point d .... for me it wouldnt be tuff to get a cut from ogr...ive been on his vip list(lol)...for some time now.... he promised he would start letting out his own personal work out to socal ....after all he is from california...lol
Truthfully im really not a big fan of his work even if he was one of the piuoneers of og.... even he admits he is just a grower up in nor cal thats been around since the masters were their onn overgrow.... to me just another person who got some good cuts gifted to him along time ago....and he has made some good crosses...plus he has a nice camera...which makes thing look even better sometimes....
As for swerve and him there just good biznessmen who were trying to put out la's beloved strains out to the rest of the globe....(for financial reasons...lol..wish i coulda made all that money selling s1's..lol)
which is a good thing cause i think every one should be able to smoke a good variety of kushes , chems , and og's....
However i am in pretty much in the best area to get meds in cali in my opinion... (north of la close to san fernando valley , north hollwood kinda area)...and i dont even recall seeing any of rascals gear in the shops i frequent .... maybe fire og or tahoe ...ive had them once or twice ... it was okay ....nothing that great.....
And i never see any of these cali connect strains either....on the menu.....
The best shops usually always have louie, skywalker, private reserve, platinums , and newer house strains that are pretty dank.....
I mean skywalker and louie are way better than any tahoe or fire i sampled.... but thats just me ... i get whats good and the shops i go to are sick .....
As for sharing ...thats what most patients , small time growers do is share the cuts out here ..... We have grown as a community and pretty much every one has a piece of the pie ....
The problem is that someone will come up with a great cross or great og strain .... and let it out to vendors and growers.... and somewhere down the line the whole recipe is changed, nutes , temps, regiment, or someone simply doesnt do justice to a strain .... and it comes out crappy despite its dna or genetic past... and then the whole strains intergrity is comprimised ..... and every one will push it saying this is (whatever it is) and youl be like ...eh...its okay ...just like i think rascals gear is eh.....
As for uk cheese ... people know about it in la ...cuts are vended flowers are sold... but its just not a big seller... so the meds being pushed may not be abundent or taken seriously....or maybe there really is just a molested cut out here that is good at best and no where near as good as what u would have in the uk....
This is why when a collective ie club... comes up with a nice cross.. or have been working with a cut that is over 15 years old.... they arent gonna just sell it ....there pretty much cornering the market... if u want madman og your gonna have to go to hok.... if every collective had it then you wouldnt go to that spot still ...you could go anywhere an get it.... right....
So id imagine thats why shit like that happens....
Lastly , i was just on rascals thread yesterday and he was on (on my other local site weedtracker).... and finally hes gonna have his new projects ready for us..... he sent me a rep saying i was def gonna get some.... either way i could just drive an hour out to get one from the club he works with ....no biggie....
