calcium?

I am growing in a mix of indicanja and left over super soil in no particular ratio. They get straight ro water in the first feed, then recharge water, then roots organic terp tea bloom in their third watering of the cycle. rinse. repeat. all ro water.

4x4 tent. 650w PLC DIY LED. just started week 4 of flowering. Barney's Watermelon Zkittlez. all good until this week. looks like calcium deficiency to me, but figured id ask. I have some down to earth oyster shell that i can top dress if necessary.

I'm not going to speculate on what's causing that with your plant. But if you have a calcium deficiency oyster shell is going to take some time before the plant can use it. WS-Ca would be a better way to add calcium faster.

I can't disambiguate that from Ca or K. If either it's very early. I'd wait to see if it progressed.

Ive added it to my tomatoes and the runoff water is cloudy.Seems some of it is water soluble .I dont know?

It being cloudy means it didn't dissolve. The cloudiness is from the small particles. Oyster shell is not water soluble. You need an acid to pull the calcium carbonate out. Vinegar works.

But growing outdoors in the garden it will be broken down over time. Be careful not to use too much as too much calcium is bad.

It's not clear if it is a K or a Ca def, possibly both.

i also have neptunes harvest crab and lobster shell. i never had to top dress calcium, but i'm trying to keep it organic.

i can see excessive potassium being the issue. i am adding terp tea bloom every third watering. this is my first time using nutrient dense soil and brewed tea. i didnt think the tea would burn them...

i think i'm going to keep using fish shit and recharge. ill also start using worm tea instead of terp tea for now. hopefully it clears up quick because they only have 6-7 weeks left.

they look so good other than those leaf tips and a few rusty spots. it definitely isn't pervasive yet.

i'll post full plant pictures when i get home.

One of mine now kinda looks similar dang things taking over week to dry out. I put a fan right at the pot for now lol but Thats the first thing that pops into my head but then I think possibly light to close back it off. Sorry not much of a organic grower anything could be breaking down maybe check soil ph.

these are the two plants in the previous close ups. they are sturdy and flowering well. I am starting to lean towards excessive potassium... i may go water+recharge+fish shit for a couple of weeks. then maybe one last terp tea week 7. then just water until choppity chop chop.

If I were you I'd keep doing what I've been doing. Your plants look pretty good. I'd stick here and see what develops.

Finally I wouldn't starve them when they are bulking up.

They are looking worse. All 3 of my WZ plants have the same symptoms. My purple punch has no such issue.

I'm not convinced this is excessive potassium, so I am leaning toward calcium deficiency.

Is the best bet baking egg shells then using apple cider vinegar to create a water soluble organic calcium feed? I don't want to overdo it...

What is your fish stuff? I mix mine and directly feed.

I use this stuff. I have a worm farm for castings. I use roots organics terp tea and recharge every other watering.

I just ordered some ormi certified water soluble calcium from down to earth. I think a little bit of calcium supplementation is in order due to the RO water.

Using a mix of indicanja and subcool super soil.
