I've been using liquid GHE fertliser for years, always had Calcium issues. SO I started mixing my own from salts. Fun. Though I can use some expertise
How much calcium is generally adequate for DWC?
My plants aren't complaining, yet, 4 weeks into flower, but being optimal can't hurt. Worried about flower week 6, 7 rusty leaves, and smaller yields.
I have very soft tap water; 15ppm Calcium and 1.5ppm of Magnesium...
My veg res NP:K:Ca:Mg:S ratio is:
126:42:125:100:55:58 = 506ppm
Although I run at like 60% of this when plants are small
My bloom res NP:K:Ca:Mg:S ratio is:
100:50:150:80:52:69 = 501ppm
I read somewhere that there should be a 3:2:1 ratio of K:Ca:Mg, which is like 150:100:50 in ppm, although my mix comes up at 80ppm Calcium in bloom.
Other people seem to favor closer to a 1:1 ratio of K:Ca
Should I bump up the Calcium Ca numbers???
