Cal mag and baby vegetation

I have 2 seedling 3 weeks old in coco coir and perlite pre mix no added nutrients and didn’t buff with any. My question is should I wait to add cal mag by GH until the Cotyledons turn yellow and die off, or until the fan leaves show nutrient deficiency signs?

Don't wait until your plant shows deficiency. That is already to late at that point. In Coco you can (or should) use CalMag with every watering or aply regularly as foliar feed. Earlier you start helthier plant you will have.

I was recommended 1 tsp per gallon for the first 3 weeks would you say that is a good amount? Also thank you for your insight!

Coco + plants need nutrients from day one.

I can't comment on calmag except that I don't need it for healthy plants using coco.

Just try coconut water for your young plants. Its totally natural and full of cytokinins. Which will help cell division in your young root system. Whether you're coco hydro or soil. Don't matter, it just works. Hands on exp. here.
