Cab SCROG Grow using DWC

Here are some photos of my recently constructed cabinet setup, using DWC. Current crop is Aurora Indica. I have incorporated an automatic water feed to provide make up water while I'm away on business trips. The 5 gallon reservoir (bucket) will keep the water level where I need it for at least a week. Also note the way I plumbed in the cab air intakes, connecting the 1 1/2" PVC into the reservoir tub, which causes the cab intake air to flow across the top of the solution in the reservoir, and out thru the two PVC elbows at the front of the reservoir. The evaporative effects keep the reservoir solution temps below 70F even when the ambient exceeds 90F. I have not seen any sign of algae growth in the reservoir when using this arrangement. Cab out flow is provided by a standard 120 cfm in line fan/carbon filter. Solution aeration is provided by a double diaphragm fish tank pump feeding two 48" flex tube air diffusers coiled in the bottom of the tub. Note the air lines running inside the SCROG screen support frame down into the bottom of the tub. Root growth has been very strong. You can't give roots too much air when they are submerged in a solution. Looking forward to harvesting some killer AI!

Here is a pic taken this week @ 2nd week of flower. The males are history, and I am using LST to keep the remaining three females as low in height as possible. Lights have been switched from MH to HPS for 12/12, easy to do with my Sunleaves mini hood, which has a switchable ballast.

HopHead...how did you attach your pvc frame to the tub lid. I'm assuming the lid iand screen frame is removable for any number of reasons. Any chance of photos of the underside of the lid? Thanks, Brussels

The PVC frame "legs" slip thru holes in the cover, and rest on the bottom of the reservoir. The screen is missing 'cause I started from seed this time, and I had to remove the males. (Tuff to do when growing around/attached to a screen). I have cloned the prettiest female, and will do a authentic SCROG grow next time, as I will have all females, and I will have them woven into the screen to control height. I will post some photos later this grow, before harvest. bongsmilie
