Day 25: Brown Slimes back

So after I added the reflective stuff to the top of my res my girl wilted over. heat was good so figured i would check her the next day, I fully expected to wake up to a perky plant much to my suprise she was even more wilted, I have to admit I did'nt make my last TEA batch at full strength. I noticed some brown slime on my roots :( so I strated up a fresh batch of TEA full strength this time. I give her roots a H2O2 bath tonight and the other side had way more BS on it.

Wondering if the brown slime is due to the the fact that the roots arent floating in the reservoir like how it usually would be in a net pot?? Does the brown slime look like its coming from the clay?

Dont know how big the difference is with growing deep water culture and the needles for a net pot as oppose to not having a net pot where the roots are allowed to flow freely. But thats weird... hopefully the H2O2

I think the brown slime is related to the local water supply. after a while the roots will be on the outside of the netty cup.

Ahh ok, was just a thought because in the pic your roots look super healthy. Hope the H2O2 helps, any plans on your water prob? Change more frequently, use store bought water, etc?

I may switch over to RO water when I get low on mats to make the TEA. A big fail on my part was making the TEA week as to make it last longer, I won't try that again.

Day 26: Plant Recovering added 1.5 cups of TEA today.

The tips were touching the lid of the RES, so looks like she perking back up. Notmycupoftea, When I took the cup out and ran water over the roots at the sink there was a massive glob of brown slime on the other side of the cup you can't see in the pic. I wish I had taken a picture but my hands were wet and I had no place to set the plant down at.

Where are your temps now? Drastic change or barely any?
Been doing some testing so far with just LED&CFL I have been right at 80' however my wife turns up and down the A/C a lot. I have not had a temp above 85' so far. Testing with the HPS now I still expect to see temps of 90' with it going. we will see. However at night I will be fine Checked the temps this AM it was 76' so overnight I should be allright.

Day 30:Any ideas on how to proceed with the Scrog will be well meet. :)

Here is a good look at where I am at 5 days in you tell me if its a fail? View attachment 2629976View attachment 2629977 I am no expert but here where I was 7 days in on my 1st grow with Bagseed. Doing a lot of things wrong like clear res no PH checking or PPM. I germed 9 seeds and got 6 plants. View attachment 2629985 What could be my problem????
The seeds should be covered so light doesn't fall on them. Pull off a bit of RW and put in the hole over the seed. Push it in but don't pack it.

Feed her main stem up and over the wires like you're starting to right now in either direction just a couple of times until the lower branches reach the net. Once they do start stretching and pulling each one of the branches to a designated square until you have an evenly distributed canopy and start flower.

I think that's how it's done, but I could also be completely delirious and wrong. It's happened before...

Haha. You have it pretty much. I would only add a tid bit. The Just like notmycupoftea said you essentially 'weave' the plant. As sites push above the net you pull them below. This is just like LST except a screen. I would not fill up more than like 70% of the screen because once you switch to flower and the stretch starts you will need some room to compensate, and I hear an overcrowded screen can be a real pain in arse Reku. EIther way things are looking good dude!

Plant's looking pretty good, I'd start the LST now and get her bent over so the sides can really branch out.

Don't "weave" the plant through the screen, always pull it down through the current hole and over to another. If you leave the stem up through the hole and "weave" it down through a different one that section of the plant won't be able to be adjusted later as it grows.

Glad to see the AC routed in, but I'd still be very cautious of the temperature. If the AC goes off for some reason will the cab get up to 90F? If it's getting that hot the plant is going to be stunted at some point.
Do you have a good axial blower-type fan for exhaust? Does the 150W HPS have a cooltube to duct its heat outside the cab?
A good 4" or 6" inline fan should take care of the heat issues, and you may not even need to run the AC.

Thanks for the input herbalife. I started LST already taking it slow, The Heat issue is still just that an ISSUE, My game plan is as follows, Run only the CFL and LED during daylight hours, overnight only run the HPS. I left the HPS on with 1 cfl for 2 hours and it was 99' when I checked it, went back to just the hps and was 80' in less than 10 mins. no I don't have a cool tube for the HPS looking into building one. My exhasut are 2 pc fans one it 80mm and the other is 120mm both are set to spin as fast as they can spin. The intake fan is 80mm. Maybe I should add antother 80mm to the intake as a booster to really crank the air in. Your right tho if we have an AC fail it's gonna cook the plants, my unti is only 3 years old but you never know. Todays update coming soon....
