haha...hmm I keep looking at the back of the tums bottle and it actually is looking like not such a bad idea. The only two active ingredients in it are calcium and less than 1% magnesium. My dilemma got worse after adding epsom salt. More magnesium and less calcium just made the overall situation worse.
was talking about perkele not you haha

I am struggling with a pretty mild-to bad Ca deficiency. I'm just wondering if anybody has any suggestions as to what I can put in my nutrient solution to add calcium to it. I am growing in a hydro system. Here is a pic of the deficiency. These were taken the other day. I would post pics of today, but no camera. It is A LOT worse today though. View attachment 2023717

Hey bro, whats up!? i sure hope that your girls are feeling better now!! If not, I was looking into my growing bible, had to dig into the closet for awhile to find it, but looked at it for
you and here's what it states about your problem! And hell yes I myself would be paranoid as hell like you over my babies too! We don't want them to be sickly, lol!!
Anyways here you go, solution: to fix a deficiency you can treat by a foliage feeding by adding one tspn of dolomite lime or garden lime per qrt of water, any chemical/
organic nutes that have calcium in them will fix the problem. (Only mix at 1/2 strength when using chemical nutes or it will burn your plants).

Or you can take crushed up dolomite lime in a gallon of water and add to your tank/system 1 to 2 tspn per glln of water, which will be slow acting at first. Garden gypsum, which
is medium absorption. Limestone, which is medium absorption, rock phosphate and animal wastes which are both medium/slow absorption. Note: Caution when using gypsum to an already acidic water/soil (ph that is less than 5.5) can have a very bad effect on different types of plants by effecting the absorption of aluminum, which is poison to your plants roots!
Now, if you have added to much chemical nutes and or organics, ( which is hard to burn your plants when using organics) you need to flush your roots/change your water all together
and start fresh!!

Just trying to help out my friend.. Like said, I hope your girls are already feeling better!!
;-) Well, later bro, and take er easy.. Happy growing..

Ps. if you will, stop in and check my girls out in my grow journal, there just starting out, but looking good I think!! Well, later bud...

If your going to run hydro, you really need to run hydro nutrients. Is it too late to plants this girl in some dirt? I saw that fox farm makes a grow big for hydro, you should get some.:leaf:

You might want to go back to this first page and read from there man. All the info is on the first 2 pages. I am growing in hydro, and I already have Fox Farm's grow big. It would be too late to transplant into dirt too. All the nutes I currently have are for hydro.

I know, you were talking about somebody else. I was talking about what I did wrong haha. He actually used people pills? Or is that a joke? lol
not a joke, back in the days of vegetative stage I noticed some Ca deficit and I didn't have any dolomite lime or any other Ca juice. So I gave Calcichew D3 Forte, a pill used for people with osteoporosis. 1 pill contains 500 mg of Ca. At that point it worked believe it or not. B_5022690000226.jpg
