Hard to believe there's no amber cause that c99 is super frosty.

I Had trouble seeing many amber trichs on mine too but some of the guys explained that Sativas should be harvested before too many amber show. I felt like I harvested a little early but it was still very good. Have you sampled yet?

No...I have not sampled yet.....I should take some updated pics, and see what you think....I'll try posting some soon.....

Side question for ya Muck.....did you trim before or after drying ? I was going to do it before but there are so many trichs I was thinking of drying, and letting the leaves shrink back a little with all those delicious trichs thereby giving me more trichs on the buds.....Maybe I am way off base here in thinking like that I don't know ? But one thing is these buds are not huge by any means.....Last grow average bud was the size of a 23 watt cfl bulb....I'd say the average size of these buds is a bic lighter....what do you think of that, and what was the avg size of your c99 buds ?

I a lot of smaller, little bigger than a lighter , sized nugs too but I had to scrog mine which produces smaller buds. A lot of my buds were also silver dollar sized too because of the scrog. The largest buds were 6-8" long maybe.

I have always trimmed before drying but I don't trim close. I leave 1/4" or so of the little sugar leaves. It works for me. For me trimming is harder when dried because the leaves shrink onto the sticky buds... not good IMHO.

i trim sugar leaves after drying and remove fan leaves right away. Hang dry for about 5 or 6 days at 50% humidity. Jar overnight. Dry again for 12-24 hours and you are done.

You could even leave some of the frosty sugar leaves on the plant it doesn't change the high/stone that I notice. I feel like the sugar leaves act as a buffer layer for drying and hold the thc crystals to the buds.

True, the next harvest I am just going to remove fan leaves and just tip the sugar leaves unless they're brown and dead. I left a lot of sugar leaves on my c99 harvest and the smoke was still very mild, not harsh. There are a lot of trichs on those sugar leaves too.

also i remove the sugar leaves right before jarring it the 1st time but after the 5 day drying period.

well I just checked them out again...Actually it might be more around 60 to 70% cloudy on the c99.....It appears the Power Flower is slightly ahead of the c99....I'd say that 80 to 90% are cloudy on the PF......

I'll have to think about my trimming technique...I was also thinking if I left some more fan leaf on that the weight would be slightly increased.....Sounds like Muck didn't have a problem with harshness.....that's good to hear.

I have a G13 C99 plant, been in 12/12 for 2 months. Still clear trichs with almost no milky ones.
No end in sight.

It's tough to get good pics cause everything is stuck in place, and the lights and everything.....I have't moved the pots in about 6 weeks I wanna say.,....I was going to wait until they were done then lay serious bud porn on here....

I hope they finish soon.....I got a dinfem CJ clone that has been vegging that is almost ready for the flower chamber !!!

thats what i wanna see, LoL. all that stuff i ordered will make for some good clones also, i'll be set for a while now, LoL.

I finally sampled about 4 days ago....I smoked a mid-level bud on the plant....Usually I smoke two bowls....I only smoked one bowl of the c99....It hit me pretty quick...Was pretty much all head high...Only lasted for maybe an hour or so....Kinda weird but this is the second plant that I tested and wound up in the verizon wireless store, lol....This time we had a long wait to see a rep...While we were waiting I noticed someone had logged into their email using a display tablet....Wrong move, lol.....I sent out all kinds of funny emails to their contacts, lol...One email was supposed to be about a triathlon or something....I said "forget the triathlon, let's get golf carts and beer instead".....I also sent another to a co-worker or something saying that the woman got drunk that weekend in a bar, met a guy and had a ton of fun...Now she is quitting her job to elope to China and travel the world...

I'm a goofball and a prankster....Not sure how funny this really was but I could not stop laughing and farting while I was typing the emails...I was also in tears from laughing so hard....Was it the weed, or just my sense of humor ? lol, I have no idea....

Anyways, today is DAY 66 OF 12-12.....Still no amber...wonderin' if I should just chop her down ? Almost all the fan leaves have brown and died or fallen off....The buds on the top of the plant look way more done that the mid and lower buds...Maybe just trim the top buds, and let the mid and lower buds finish a little longer ??

I'm thinking about getting a grow tent with a HID light which I would run in addition to the Space Cab......Then I really would see the difference first hand between the two types of lighting...And, I would have more weed too, lol...

DINAFEM CRITICAL JACK - Day 1 of 12-12

OK, the Critical Jack clone was gettin kind big for the vegg chamber, and it is only going to be in a 2 gallon pot so I tossed it into the flowering chamber....I had to MacGyver some stuff though...I had to move that white fan and mount it sideways by screwing it into that wood support to hold it in that odd place, lol....The I put the CJ pot on top on another air-pot of the same size to get it up closer to the lights

here's some pics of the plant and stuff....we also got a new kitten recently that gets into everything including the vegg chamber and the clone....

hmmm, after typing that I am actually debating whether to put it into a larger pot than the two gallon....we'll see...I have two Sugar Punch seeds I am just starting right now as well...I'm a little behind schedule with them...I had tried sprouting 2 seeds...One never sprouted, and the other died as I gave it light too early....

.The CJ is in an organic mix I made up....It is Pro-mix HP, Worm Castings, Perlite, Lime, and Epsoma Garden tone....It smells kinda like earthy and poop, and little bugs are flyin' all over the place, lol...But she seems to be McLovin' it, lol.....I am looking into getting a tea brewing set up, and plan on brewing some teas....

Man I tell ya these things are stinking up the house...I don't have a carbon filter in the Space Cab yet....

The smell is hard to describe...It's really sweet smelling...Almost like a Christmas candle or something...Almost vanilla-like....

Nice going Spaaacie! Are you talking about the C99 having the sweet smell? I would sit with the front of my tent open taking in those wonderful smells. I also laughed more and felt better afterwards... not like a high exactly.. just a happier feeling.

Hey muck....well I have a feeling I might have been smelling a new hand soap we have that really lingers on your hands....it's called sugar cookies, lol....Also, my gf blew up some honey in the microwave, and she has been cooking some really sweet popcorn in the microwave lately...To say that our house smells like the Keebler Elf Factory would be an understatement.

I'd say the c99 smells like a pineapple or grapefruit.....together though with the Power Flower it is a sweet smell.

I just noticed a strange thing on some of the buds on the Power flower...I have a few 6500k bulbs in there, and I have not been able to move the plants at all due to the light set up....I noticed a couple of buds that had a 2700k light on one side of them, and a 6500k light on the other side....The 2700k side had a bunch of red hairs while the 6500k side had hardly any red hairs or pistils at all for that matter.
