A co2 Generator that burns natural gas would be the only other really effective way to add CO2. You can use the Yeast/sugar bombs, Dry Ice, Carbonated water, etc etc etc all you want and they are not going to make much difference unless you spend alot of money or time perfecting the PPM levels. you want 1500-1600 PPM of CO2 to make it really effective, adding just a little bit from the other methods is not going to help much if at all.

The Generator once its hooked up and running will cause heat, make sure you have a way to vent it. Its also about 2x the cost of a bottle/regulator/solenoid setup.

Tell me why you don't want to use the bottles?

Ok CO2 tanks are VERY VERY common in any town/city in the nation. every single soda fountain also has a bottle of CO2, so basically every restaurant, gas station, McDonalds, BK, Hardees....you see where I'm going with this. Welding supply places carry and fill em. To successfully use one to grow MJ you need several items above and beyond a big bottle of the stuff. you need a Regulator so it all doesn't come spewing out at once, then you need a solenoid driven gas valve so that it isn't always coming out, then you need a timer to control the valve. plus you need some air line to direct the CO2 over the tops of the plants.

Something like this that has regulator and solenoid will also work, just team up with a timer so you get 1500-1600 PPM levels during lights on.
