C.A.P. PPM-4 worth it or not?

has anyone had any experience good or bad with C.A.P.'s ppm-4. Im leaning towards it because im on a budget but at the same time, the fact that its the cheapest c02 controller on the market also makes me skeptical. I cant find a single review online about it and of course the guy at my local hydro store says it's a quality product and i should buy it :/. any firsthand feedback with the ppm-4, ppm-3 or any other controller would be greatly appreciated. thankyou all.

I've never owned one personally but almost everytime I've bought the cheapest of anything, I end up regreting it. I'd say if your not on a budget then spring for a higher quality product. Thats just my experiance

I have had CAP controllers and Co2 monitors for 7 years and they all still work great. I have a couple greenhouse controllers hooked to the Co2 monitors. I would buy again.

Right on. Thankyou woodsman. Went ahead and bought the ppm-4. Works awesome so far. If it's starts acting up or anything goes wrong with it, I'll definitely post about it for people's future reference.

im not the biggest fan of my ppm4. but then again im not really sure if im using it right? it shuts off at 1450ppms. i try to keep it right below that so it keeps running constantly. i thought this would keep my ppms stable but im not sure because it only reads the range your in

I personally wouldnt get one...If you're going to use co2 get a controller that has a bit more acurate reading. I've got a titan controller in my room. Always stays within 100ppm of what i set the co2 levels to be until i go in there...my breathing makes the levels go like 150ppm over what i have it set at.

phish does yours ever shut off from getting to high? or does it stay stable? i dont understand why that ppm4 shuts off for 5 min at a time, i tried to turn it down a little because i i want it to be creepin right around the max without hitting it. now im wondering if its shutting off while im in there because my breath is making it go above 1450. i need to buy that damn fuzzylogic badass one. sorry for punking your thread, just trying to get info as well :p

Mine stays on to get it a little above what its supposed to be...and doesnt cut on untill it gets like 100 below the level i set it at. but yeah i'll walk in the room with the co2 off...and literally while i'm in there i can watch the levels rise. And then after going in and out a few times with the door opening i can see the levels drop a bit and it come back on. I have my regulator set pretty low so it doesnt just pour out co2.
