Buying Seeds, Do You Pay Any Attention To the Pics ?

Was going to put this is the Seeds section but as they seem to keep that section for the pros and cons of different seedbanks it seemed out of place---anyway---when you buy seeds how much attention do you pay to the pics which accompany the strain type/ price , info etc---Lets face it it could be any bloody strain, I think its bullshit, you are trying to pic a strain for your next grow and you are faced with the most amazing pics of buds etc each one looking more impressive than the next, but with no assurance that the pic is actually the strain depicted. so some guy with a 250 light in a tent buys them and is disappointed the buds don't look like the pics when they bought the seeds, we all know that its the strain genetics and the growers skill which determines the end result. Don't look at the pics, read the opinions of actual growers , there are plenty here in RIU giving out valid opinions which are more valuable than some cobbled together wee photo on a seed companies website.

I look at the pics. I only buy from reputable breeders that dont lie about their produce, which replicates most often in my room.
I called some breeders, the ones I know. I asked about their rooms, controls, garden habits. They dont use 250 watt lights.
as soon as I matched their rooms.....i matched their pictures, their suggested finish times, their thc levels, their expected effects too.

growers skills? proper equipment and controls, all the grower needs to do is water, fertilize, and harvest correctly. not much skill there eh? once could easily buy a room and follow directions and have great success with no skill. I've seen it, helped dummies do it even.

With so many factors involved.... using a picture to plan your ends would be silly.
the guy looking at a picture while sparking his 250 watt light thinking he's gonna reproduce those results....
has a shelf of Nikes that wont let him dunk , wears cologne still doesnt get chicks, uses molasses probably too lol

That's my point mate--reputable seedbanks WILL give out valid info in their pics--you can tell this when you see a pic of something like '' DR Grinspoon ?'' which is a strange bud kind of like wee droopy nugget things-quite different from the normal, and you know the pic is genuine, but 90% of the other strains depicted could be anything. Taking the time to research like you do is the way to go. as for advertising in general, you never get to see the downside of many things--like a holiday advert from Scotland, nice sunny day, blue skies in every pic, the reality is very different of course anyway I don't look at the pics. THEY are ADS

I was lied to only one time about seeds. My super lemon haze and ak48 were bunk. they didnt stone, didnt smell awesome, didnt grow nice, were the only two strains on Attitude that sucked. Every other picture was spot on though, sorry you have a 90% fail on pic results.
I began my trek by buying every cup winner from their respected breeders from every country available. None were a sham for thought.
