They just can't know that you tried because when you bought them u agreed to their terms of sale. I'm not going to crack on you because their is a difference between being naive and being stupid and you just didn't know yet. You have to understand though that you killed this attempt to get replacements. Mistakes come with lessons so learn the lesson and move on.
